Guidelines Dress Down Day/

Halloween Costumes Tuesday, October 28, 2014 To celebrate Halloween (and raise money for a good cause), students/faculty and staff can wear casual clothing on Tuesday, October 28 (like a regular Dress Down Day/Tag Day). This can be any appropriate t-shirt or hoodie, jeans, khaki pants, or sweats. Shorts are not permitted. You cannot wear anything that is offensive (wording, images). Earrings are not permitted. All students who dress down (in regular clothes) must pay $1.00 in homeroom. Homeroom reps will collect a dollar on Tuesday from anyone not in uniform. Half of all proceeds will go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Those who dress in costume do not have to pay.

Regarding Halloween attire, costume guidelines are as follows: 1. Students cannot wear any costume that is offensive to any group or person (racial, religious, gender, etc.) or the values of Fr. Judge High School. Students may not wear pajamas/swimwear. Costumes must include footwear for safety reasons. 2. Students cannot wear any type of mask that would prevent people from seeing their face. Students may not wear face paint (fake noses, glasses, etc. are acceptable but must be removed in class). 3. Costumes must not be so large that they would prevent a student from entering a room, sitting in a desk or causing disruption in class. 4. Students cannot wear or bring in any props even if it is associated with a costume (no pitchfork for devils, no lasso for cowboys, no swords, etc...) 5. A student must still have his ID card on him, even if he is in costume.

Any student who is deemed to be dressed inappropriately by the Administration will have his parents notified and may be sent home. Costumes will be judged during homeroom. CASH PRIZES will be OFFERED for the FOLLOWING COSTUME CATEGORIES: * FUNNIEST *ORIGINAL * GROUP * TEACHER ALL AROUND BEST COSTUME * BEST IMPERSONATION (IF YOU ARE DRESSING AS ANOTHER PERSON IN THE SCHOOL – TEACHER, STAFF OR STUDENT - YOU MUST HAVE HIS OR HER WRITTEN PERMISSION).
