Dear Crusader, As the school year winds down it is important for you to remember to keep maintaining your grades and solid discipline records. As tempting as it may be to “check out” of the 8th grade, don’t succumb to the temptation. Remember, Father Judge considers for admission those students who have demonstrated good academic, discipline and attendance performance. For the young men who are interested in playing a sport this fall season, we have some information regarding the preseason camp beginning in August. This year’s camp will begin on Monday, August 11th. If you are interested in a fall sport (football, soccer, cross country, golf), tryouts and practice sessions will take place on that first day of camp on Monday, August 11th. Anyone interested in joining the Crew team, we will have more information when the school year begins. More information will be forthcoming this summer with specific times and locations of the various preseason camps. Anyone interested in playing freshmen football this fall season is asked to attend a meeting with the freshman football staff on Sunday, June 8th at 12:00PM in the Fox Gymnasium. Our coaches would like to speak with our student-athletes and their parents/guardians about participating in our football program. This meeting will inform you about tryouts schedule, planned summer workouts, game schedule and the start of another year of Crusader Football. Any questions, or if you cannot make the meeting, please contact Coach Mike McKay at football@fatherjudge.com and type “Father Judge Freshmen Football” in the subject line. We hope that your son will consider joining an athletic team this school year. Athletics are a great way to build friendships, discipline, work ethic, and improve academic success. For more information on our athletic programs, please visit our website and click on the “ATHLETICS” tab, or email our athletic director, Mr. James Patrick Lynch at athletics@fatherjudge.com. Follow us on Twitter @fjathletics for updates throughout the summer! We look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you for choosing Father Judge! In Crusader Pride,
Mark Gudas ‘88 Director of Admissions
