OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS Dear Parents of the Class of 2018: In just a few weeks Father Judge High School will be graduating our 57th class. In a few short months we will be welcoming your sons as future alumni. We look forward to your son continuing our tradition of success that is sixty years strong! Enclosed is some information to help in the transition from grade school to high school. In this mailing you should find the following:
A summer reading list that will explain what books your son should read during vacation.
A medical form that must be completely filled out by you and your family doctor. We must have this by Monday, September 8, 2014. Your son cannot enter school without it. If your son is playing sports for Judge in the Fall, the form must be in by Friday, August 1, 2014. You can mail or drop off the forms in the Main Office.
Information on the school shoe and uniform and where to get them. All freshmen must wear the “Columbia blue” sweater for the winter uniform. The “GPX” (a new version of the classic “GBX”) is the only shoe permitted – no substitutes will be accepted.
Father Judge Uniform Exchange: gently used uniforms from graduating seniors and other upperclassmen are available beginning Monday, July 7. Stop by the Main Office between 9-2 PM and you might find items to be used for the 2014 -2015 school year.

Dates and times of tryouts for Fall Sports is included in a letter from our athletic department.
The FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for the CLASS OF 2018 (Freshmen) will be on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. All Freshmen will report to the school cafeteria (using the Solly Avenue entrance by the statue of St. Francis de Sales) at 8:00 AM on 9/3/14. ***The school will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We will also be closed on Friday, August 15 for the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
