FINAL MODEL 4
MATERIAL CONSIDERATIO N Colourless transparent acrylic plasVc is chosen to make PLANES because it allows people to see what is happening beyond it. Thus, it portrays the keyword DEPTH. Foam board is chosen as material for the VOLUMES. This opaque foam board opaque looks denser than the planes. Metal rods are the LINES which are tough and strong to hold the planes and the volumes together.
5
ALIGNMENT TO KEYWORDS The volumes FLOW from the top to the boaom smoothly in one direcVon and reflected the keyword RHYTHM. The constant shapes of the planes and the volumes also portray RHYTHM. Moreover, all the sVcks, planes and volumes were all placed diagonally to bring out the keyword DEPTH.
6
Besides, the TRANSPARENCY OF THE PLANES DECREASES when they move down from the top to the boaom. To give DEPTH to this model, the planes on the top which are transparent allow observaVons to be made when you look it from the top. However, the planes turns translucent and then opaque when they move to the boaom part so they can be easily seen even they are blocked by the other elements of this model.

LOCATION PLAN Labyrinthus located at Gardens by the Bay. It is facing Marina Bay Sands which has a breathtaking view. It is near to the water which gives a feeling of tranquility. 11
SITE ANALYSIS To bring in people, the acVvity level analysis was done. The nodal point of human traffic makes the site high acVvity level zone.

SITE ANALYSIS
VEGETATION
Due to civilisaVon, deforestaVon happens to allow more buildings to be constructed in the city. Compared to the surrounding area, the site has a high vegetaVon level. Thus, the main concept in this project is to keep GREEN.
34
Afer selecVng the trees which to be remained at the site, the empty space is filled with the building block. The form of the block appears in C shape.
The building block embraces the trees in the center and a courtyard is formed.
35
DESIGN INSPIRATION
The building height increases from right to lef to suit the heights of buildings next to it. This make the building merge in the site perfectly. 36

In Kampung Glam, the buildings height increases as they move further from the Malay Heritage Centre. So, in this project, the building height increases when it moves further apart from the Malay Heritage Centre.
