Cotton (Sweatpants) and Denim Hand painted skeleton bone Exposed stitching These 1/1 sweatpants started completely white. From there I cut and sewed denim fabric in to the sides and back of the sweatpants. After this I dyed them black and once dried began the painting process. White denim was then sewed into the sweatpants last and finished with an exposed orange stitching. The expression of gender is shown through the combination of a soft and rough fabric. This is symbolic for gender standards and how we as individuals are all made up of rough and soft sides. The skeleton bone is a gender neutral representation of who we are inside.
