WAYS WE CAN HELP
2016
Elaine Zelker
My goal is not only to provide you with the best headshot, but also to teach you ways to change the way you look at yourself, and focus on your Personal Branding. My work is tailored to the up-and-coming, modern entrepreneur (whether you are an actor, blogger, real estate agent, small business owner, life coach, or just wanting to up your game). The goal is to produce the best headshot and photos that showcases YOU, your spirit, your genuineness, your quirkiness, your passion and your personality. What is the goal to having great photos and headshots taken? The goal is to attract new and ideal clients, to have publication ready images, and to elevate YOU and YOUR personal brand. Peter Hurley, a world-renowned headshot photographer has trained me; and I now mentor other photographers in the field. As a businesswoman, I take pride and realize the importance of branded, professional images. My commercial work has been internationally published in various magazines and publications. I live in Easton, PA with my 3 lovely daughters and husband. I love to do DIY projects, go antiquing, train for 5k's (and eventually a 1/2 marathon), network, & most importantly‌I love my job.

WHAT IS YOUR BRAND? Step 1: What do YOU want to do? Be specific and clearly define your goals and objectives. Is it to become the best project manager in your company? Obtain your dream job at a Fortune 500 company? Land that LEAD role? Step 2: How are others doing it? How are those who have made it to where you want to be conducting their personal branding efforts? What can you learn from what others are doing, are their efforts good or bad? Who are your biggest competitors and what are they doing to brand themselves?
Step 3: How do people currently perceive you? How large is the gap between the current you and the person you want others to perceive you to be? What needs to changes and why? Step 4: Determine your brand attributes. What do you want your personal brand to convey? What adjectives do you want people to associate with you (as the product) and why? In what niche of the market do you want to become known?

Q's & A's HEADSHOTS WITH
ELAINE ZELKER Headshots are an essential for actors, professionals and models. Your image shows up on-line, on sites such as Facebook, BackStage, Casting Networks, Twitter, LinkedIn, or your own personal website or blog…and it’s that first impression that will showcase you the most. Clothing. First and foremost, bring clothing that you like. I ask that you bring several outfits with you to the session, as I normally shoot 3-4 different looks. Since we are doing headshots, you only need to bring tops (please iron beforehand). Tank tops, solid tops, t-shirts, professional attire is great, but logos, or busy (zigzag or polka dots) prints are a no-no. However, if you only wear bowties, then bring your bowties!! Remember, you want to showcase YOU, not your outfit. Women, simple earrings only. No necklaces or scarves. If you want them in a few shots, that’s ok, but not recommended Women. I strongly suggest that you hire a professional to do your hair and make-up. While there is an extra cost associated with this service (about $40 to $100), hiring a professional make-up artist will not only enhance your experience, but also allow you to concentrate on your shoot.
Professional make-up artists know how to bring out the best in you, and know how to make you “cameraready”. I work with a couple of great make-up artists in the area, who I can highly recommend. You can hire your own make-up artist and come to the session ready to start shooting, OR if you feel you can do your own hair and make-up, please keep it natural. I always recommend the “less is more” theory, we can always add, not take away. Style your hair as if you are going for an audition or a business meeting. For women with long hair, it’s best to have your hair down to start. We will also have you put it up in a ponytail for an alternative look (bring hair ties). Men. No makeup. If you have a break out on the day of the shoot, I will edit it out. Moisturize in the morning if you can. If you want the “scruff” look, come unshaven. You can shave at the studio afterwards for a clean look. All other men, come clean-shaven. Most importantly, both women and men should moisturize their lips. Dry chapped lips are hard to retouch. Start this process a few days before the shoot.

BRAND YOURSELF
The Shoot. I typically shoot 3-4 different looks during the standard headshot session. The goal is to get great shots that you are happy with. I will shoot you in an array of styles, poses and facial expressions. I shoot until I have a good amount for each look. This will help us get the headshot you are looking for. Afterward, we will sit down together and review all of the images on my computer and begin the approval process. After the approval process is complete, we are left with 30-60 final images, which are then uploaded to a private on-line, pass code protected proof gallery. This will allow you to go through the images on your own at home or to give access to anyone else that might be helping you with the final decision process, such as your agent, family or friends. Plan on being at the studio for about 1-2 hours. Cost & Scheduling. The cost of the Standard Headshot Session starts at $350. A smaller, shorter session for 45 minutes is also available with 2 final edited images. The Standard Headshot Session is done in Elaine's EASTON, PA Studio. If you require the studio to come to you, an additional fee will be added for travel/time/set-up within 60 miles of 18040). We require a 12x12 area to shoot in with access to electricity.

"A photo session with Elaine is like having a great time with your best girlfriend. She makes you comfortable during your photo session, thereby allowing your true self to shine through to the camera. Her talents have helped me book lead roles in both theater and film."
"I was beyond blessed to sit for Elaine for my headshots. Through passion, commitment, and diligence, she worked to capture my essence."
For her daughter, Megan, after she got a new, amazing short hair cut! "Elaine is truly a master at her craft. Beautiful results."
"I can't get enough of Elaine! She is just a little bundle of energy and always brings that positive vibe to our Crew. She's proven to be a image maker that creates meaningful work whether it be while taking headshots or working on her personal projects like her book "The Hand-Some Journey." You can see her caring nature infused into her work and I love that she's allowed some of that to rub off on us as she encourages and supports other HeadShot Crew members. This gift has lifted her to Mentor status here and it couldn't be more deserving. Thanks Elaine!"
