This edition of Elders Estates Magazine is dedicated to the memory of Virgil Kenny.

Virgil unexpectedly passed away recently, doing what he did best, working on the Ray Scott Pastoral Company sale at Bauhinia, Queensland. Virgil was a highly respected Elders Rural Sales Agent working with his colleagues and clients at Elders for over 40 years. Virgil is remembered for the honest and straightforward way he dealt with his clients, and his expert knowledge of the Queensland property and cattle markets. Virgil will be missed by all of us at Elders.

As we are rapidly approaching Christmas, the Elders Team would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2025. Thank you for all of your support this year. This edition of Estates is once again full of excellent properties currently listed by the Elders Team.

We hope you enjoy reading this over the break and it gives you some inspiration for 2025.

PROPERTY MARKET UPDATE FROM RICHARD GEMMELL

Tamworth

The Elders footprint continues to expand across NSW through acquisitions and organic growth. One of NSW’s most respected real estate and livestock agencies in Tamworth, previously under the banner of Ray White Tamworth, is now Elders Real Estate Tamworth having commenced 1 November 2024. With 28 staff members becoming part of the Elders business operating from the newly rebranded location of 247 Peel St, Tamworth. The acquisition includes residential, rural, commercial real estate, property management, and livestock services. Director, Mal Campbell, expressed his excitement of the team to be joining the Elders network saying, “This move allows us to leverage our collective strengths and offer an even higher level of service to the Tamworth community.” The addition will bolster the level of service and success already established with the great transactional work Ben Green has achieved servicing the rural real estate market throughout the Tamworth and broader northern NSW district.

Tamworth is one of the largest inland NSW cities west of the Great Dividing Range, located 389km from Sydney and 574km from Brisbane along the Inland Corridor route, gateway to the New England region, it is a regional centre with retail, service and tourism industries as well as rich agricultural production. It is known as the Country Music Capital of Australia and is home of the Country Music Festival and Awards and the Big Golden Guitar. It is also home to the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre.

Tamworth sits on the edge of the Liverpool Plains, one the most highly productive agricultural regions in the country. It includes activities such as Livestock: Beef cattle, fat lamb, poultry, and pork. Cereal crops: Wheat, sorghum, and sunflowers. Cotton: Produced on both irrigated and dry land.

Alstonville

We also continue to strengthen our brand in the northern rivers region of northern NSW with Elders Real Estate Alstonville aligning with our corporate network to provide continued growth of real estate services throughout the region. Led by Krysti MacRae, her dedicated team conducts residential, rural, commercial and industrial sales, leasing and property management. Having been in business for around 30 years, their commitment and dedication to providing exemplary customer service and industry professionalism will continue to strengthen as we further develop our real estate offering.

The town of Alstonville sits amongst green fertile hills on the plateau 15 minutes inland from Ballina. Its historic buildings, classic Australian architecture, galleries, cafes and teahouses make it a popular destination for visitors. The area is known for its rich red volcanic soil that produces avocadoes, macadamia nuts, tropical fruits and coffee. The surrounding hills are home to secluded waterfalls and lush sub-tropical parks and gardens. The Victoria Park Nature Reserve is home to one of the last remnants of the Big Scrub - a vast rainforest which once blanketed the region.

Nationally

Elders Real Estate has experiencing remarkable growth this year and is the fourth-largest real estate agency in regional Australia by market presence, further solidifying its status as a leading player in Australia’s real estate sector. Any number of our dedicated staff are on hand and can assist with all your real estate needs.

Wishing you and your families all the best this Christmas! We hope you have a safe and relaxing holiday season, and we look forward to presenting the next Estates edition early in 2025.
