iuGong’s 60th Anniversary Celebration was held at LiuGong International Industrial Park in Liuzhou, Guangxi, China. Attendees included domestic and overseas customers, distributors, suppliers, government officials, shareholders, and stakeholders who have worked with LiuGong throughout its 60 years. LiuGong also celebrated the production of its 400,000th wheel loader. The achievement was made through the unremitting efforts and proactive technological innovation of all LiuGong people in the past six decades. This is a milestone worthy of celebration in the history of LiuGong. At the same time, six new products including 990F excavator, B170DL bulldozer, S935 sugarcane harvester, TC800C5 crane, 4180D motor grader and 886H loader make their debut at the ceremony, fully demonstrating the array of LiuGong’s large-scale and intelligent equipment.

Established in 1958, LiuGong is not only a pioneer of the production of loaders, but also laid a solid foundation for the technology, talent cultivation and management for the development of CE industry in China. In 1958, Shanghai Huadong Steel Factory allocated some employees and pieces of equipment to Liuzhou, Guangxi to facilitate the economic development in southwest China. In a wilderness on the west bank of Liujiang River, they built a factory from nothing. In 1966, LiuGong rolled out the first wheel loader accredited by China, which opened a new chapter in the company’s development. In 1993, LiuGong began trading on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and became the first listed company of CE industry and Guangxi. Since 2000, LiuGong has been looking beyond its loader business and working on cross-regional operations and

Along with China’s entry into the WTO, LiuGong started to build its eastern bases and added multiple product lines into its portfolio. On the other hand, in 2003, LiuGong developed its first oversea distributor in Morocco in north Africa and started its globalization. SDLG Unveils Concept Electric Compact Excavator at bauma China 2018

SDLG showcased the E660F-EX, a concept electric compact excavator, at bauma China 2018. The concept excavator is SDLG’s first foray into electromobility and is not available commercially. The E660F-EX was among the 25 construction machine models that SDLG exhibited during the November 27 to 30 event at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China. “The E660F-EX is SDLG’s first machine to utilize electric motors,” said Wang Xiaohui, general manager of SDLG Import and Export Company. “The concept machine demonstrates SDLG’s dedication toward electromobility. We are investing in research and construction equipment that will produce lower emissions, reduced noise levels, and will be more energy efficient without compromising machine performance.” The 6 t capacity E660F-EX is based on the current E660FL compact excavator, which has a bucket capacity of 0.2 m3, maximum excavation force of 40 kN, and swing speed of 10 r/min. To make the machine electric, the combustion engine was replaced by a 30 kWh lithium battery and switched reluctance electric motor. The concept E660F-EX can be recharged by plugging into a power grid or the vehicle-charging facilities that are already available in China. A full recharge takes between three to four hours on a 32 amp grid. With a dedicated grid, the E660F-EX could be recharged within one hour. “On a full charge, the E660F-EX can perform continuous digging for about three hours,” Wang said.

Power boost feature increases hydraulic system pressure to provide higher digging force and lifting capacity when needed. The JCB 215LC, the 21.5T Tracked Excavator, with bucket capacity from 0.8 to 1.02 cubic metre, aims to make work more cost-effective. It is designed to deliver higher output at lower fuel consumption for better results and its robust design makes it suitable for long duty cycles.

NEW DELHI: The domestic auto components industry grew the fastest in six years — by 14.3% to Rs 2.92 lakh crore — in the last financial year driven by strong demand in aftermarket sales. According to the data available with the Automotive Component Manufacturers association of India (ACMA), the aftermarket segment grew by 25.6% to Rs 56,096 crore last fiscal from Rs 44,660 crore in the previous year. In terms of auto components supply distribution to automobile manufacturers, ACMA said 49% was to passenger vehicles, 22% to two-wheelers, 11% to medium and heavy commercial vehicles, 8% to light commercial vehicles, 6% to tractors, 2% to three wheelers and another 2% to backhoe loaders. The implementation of GST has helped in enhancing the business as the end product is sold with GST all our customers were able to take input credit. We are also able to pass on the benefit of input credit to our customers. Demonetization had only a short time effect as the aggregates are normally on cash & carry basis. However it is now a more stream lined and benefits due to the GST input credit have helped the business to not only recover, but gave a growth in the business.

Q. What are the short term as well as long term future outlook of the industry?

Govt policy to introduction of super high ways , dedicated railway corridors and development of smart cities have created a good prospects for the Crushing plants market and we expect a growth of 10-15% present and a continued future.

This was the first edition of Conmac Nepal 18 which provided us a platform to interact with customers and know their requirement. We have few product launches lined up for Bauma CONEXPO India 18 with focus on Asphalt & Concrete Equipment. Being a show, which has gained popularity among customers in last few years, we feel to have a good footfall of serious buyers to whom we can showcase our products.

What is your futuristic outlook in term of company’s growth?

The demand for construction equipment gained momentum in 2017. With all out push by Central and State Government to upgrade and build new infrastructure, we see a very bright future and enhanced demands in next fiscal and are optimistic about the growth in years to come.

How do you look on export markets?

The burgeoning construction sector in many African and Asian countries has harbingered good times for companies manufacturing construction machineries and equipment as well as those selling used and refurbished heavy equipment and machinery. The appreciable increase used construction machinery in real estate and construction activities in African countries has resulted in a substantial surge of demand for concrete mixers. The rapid growth in the overall economy of many countries has accentuated the need for improving infrastructure. Governments, development authorities and even companies have begun investing in infrastructure development projects in several countries. Moreover, many African governments have invested heavily in irrigation and mining projects across the continent. All these factors have contributed immensely to the increased use of construction machinery and we are getting steady orders and lot of enquiries from many African and Asian countries like Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Kenya, Nepal, Tanzania, Philippines and Sri-Lanka.

KCPL pavers are hydraulic free, operation friendly and high output based. The company has supplied Concrete Paver Machines all over India for many irrigation projects. At an average more than 800 pavers are working across India in various Canal projects. These Pavers are equipped with vibratory attachments for independent vibrator thus achieving quality finish. Construction joints are either by Groove Cutters or PVC water stop and Crack inducing strips that depends on project requirement. These Pavers are capable of a steep slope paving up to 1:1 (45) degree inclination. Support accession like side discharge conveyor for uniform concrete pouring either flat or inclined in front of paver walk way behind pavers for inspection purpose or minor hand finish. BS IV Emission Standards: The current emission standard

BS IV is the fourth emission standard launched by the Indian government to keep a check on the number of air pollutants given out by the vehicles. This emission norm was first implemented in 13 major cities of India i.e. Delhi/NCR, Kolkata, Bangalore, Sholapur, Mumbai, Agra, Chennai, Lucknow Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Surat, Pune, and Kanpur from April 2010. After going through various transitions, BS IV fuel finally covered the entire country in April 2017. Under this norm, a special fuel was designed which contained only 50 parts per million sulfur as compared to the fuel used under BS III. The emissions of nitrogen oxide, particulate matter, and hydrocarbon from BS IV fuel is low. This standard fights against the pollutants like hydrocarbons (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and carbon monoxide (CO) emitted by the vehicles on the Indian roads. BS VI Emission Standards

With this, India became the part of the league which consisted of Japan, European Union, and the United States of America to implement Euro Stage VI emission standards. This new emission standard has low sulfur content as compared to the BS IV fuel. The BS VI fuel contains 10 parts per million while the content of sulfur in BS IV fuel is 50 parts per million. It also helps in reducing the number of harmful hydrocarbons emitted from the burning of fuel. With the use of BS VI fuel in the diesel vehicles, the emission of particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxide will witness a fall of 80 percent and 83 percent respectively. The bottom main existing monolithic structure is also supported with scaffolding to provide additional stability of the existing structure during Mahabhisheka. The total height of Scaffold Structure is Approx. 21.2 mtr from Ground level. It was unsupported with existing structure. After postponing the floating of tenders for the construction of an elevated flyover on the National Highway here for the fifth time, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has again floated the tenders for the construction of the much-awaited elevated flyover on the highway passing through Phagwara This was stated by Citizens Rights’ Forum Phagwara president Dr JS Virk, who received a communication from the NHAI here today He said bids would be opened on November 28 and the construction of the flyover had to be completed within one year. Earlier, the tenders were called on September 25, October nine, October 30, November 14, and on November 20. Because of the controversy over the construction of flyover due to the tussle between former Punjab BJP president Vijay Sampla and Phagwara MLA Som Prakash and their supporters, the construction that started in 2016 was stopped after a few days by the construction company. The NHAI blamed the Municipal Corporation (MC) that it was in favour of a solid bridge and had asked for more under paths NHAI officials said the NHAI was planning an elevated flyover but the MC authorities had opposed it and the project was scrapped On the other hand, Phagwara MLA Som Parkash and the MC authorities claimed that they had never opposed the elevated bridge The issue had become a bone of contention for the factions, led by MLA Som Prakash and Vijay Sampla and the parties, including Congress, BJP (Sampla group), Shiv Sena, Aam Aadmi Party and the BSP were struggling for an early construction of the flyover

With the intervention of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) the National Highways Authority of India has managed to clear hurdles in the way of the much delayed Dwarka Expressway project with NHAI, the Delhi government, forest ministry and DDA agreeing to complete all processes as quickly as possible, said sources adding that (NHAI will need to get forest clearance for about four km out of the total 10 km of the expressway, which falls in Delhi. It will also seek permission from Delhi’s forest department to cut trees for the stretch falling in the national capital for quick approval. NHAI will transplant about 10,000 of the identified trees that will be impacted due to the road construction for which DDA will provide land for carrying out the compensatory a-forestation for felling of trees. The Delhi government wanted NHAI to apply for forest clearance under the Forest Conservation Act as tree-felling amounted to “diversion of forest land”. It had said roadside plantations carried out by DDA should be treated as “deemed forest but NHAI on the other hand maintained that the permission could be granted under state laws rather than the Act. Works for three packages out of total five have been awarded and that NHAI has re-invited bids for the fourth package in Delhi and work on fifth package will be taken up later
