Two remote cabins situated right on the river give anglers an unparalleled angling experience accompanied by expert guides, unpressured water, and untouched terrain. With a run just 150 yards from the cabins and guides who will transport you by 4x4 to the water fishing best at the time of your trip, anglers are well-positioned to land the fish of a lifetime.

Aptly named New and Old Hölkná after the beautiful salmon river above which they’re perched, these two intimate cabins operate as fishing outposts from July to September. The Hölkná Cabins are located in the northeastern landscapes of Iceland, about twenty minutes from Thorshofn and a two-hour drive to Husavik. The cabins, while remote, are not rudimentary. Guests will be greeted by hot showers, cozy beds, heated floors, an outfitted kitchen, and a deck with views beyond belief.

International flights arrive at the Keflavik International Airport (KEF), 45 minutes from downtown Reykjavik
Guests should fly into Akureyri or Húsavík.
Rent a car and drive the 2- to 3-hours to Hölkná.
