Rice Cooker Golden Rice

Yields: 4 servings | Recipe by Denise Bustard (Sweet Peas and Saffron)

1 cup basmati rice

1 tbsp coconut oil (or unsalted butter)

½ tsp turmeric

¼ tsp ground ginger

¼ tsp salt

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp garlic powder

2 cups chicken stock

Steps:

1. Before cooking, rinse the rice in a colander under the tap 2-3 times until water becomes clear.

2. Add the rinsed basmati rice, coconut oil, turmeric, ground ginger, salt, onion powder, garlic powder and chicken stock to your rice cooker. Stir until evenly distributed.

3. Once the cook time is up, fluff with a fork and enjoy!
