¼ cup brown sugar, packed

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tsp sesame oil

½ tsp crushed red-pepper flakes

1 tsp freshly minced ginger

1 tbsp vegetable oil

3 cloves garlic

1 lb ground pork

¼ cup diced green onions

12 oz frozen broccoli, steam-in-bag

¼ teaspoon sesame seeds

Steps:

1. Whisk together the ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.

2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

3. Add ground pork and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Crumble as you go, leaving some large chunks. Drain excess fat once cooked. While pork is cooking, steam your broccoli in the microwave.

4. Stir in sauce mixture, green onions, and broccoli. Simmer for 2 minutes.

5. Serve immediately with sesame seeds on top if desired.
