The tariffs do not include VAT.

Tariffs for grid use Handling charges (in application from 1 October 2002 until 31 March 2003) The handling charges for concluding an access contract amount to 1000 euros per contract. The charges are invoiced at the conclusion of a new contract or at the renewal of an existing contract.

The handling charges for an Access Responsibility Contract amount to 2500 euros per contract.

Tariff for power subscription and additional power (in application from 1 October until 31 March 2003) !

Tariff for power subscription for a period of one year This scheme consists of a power subscription for each of the off take points. A single subscription is valid for one full year.

Tariff for power subscription for a period of one month The scale of tariffs draws a distinction between peak hours, off-peak hours and weekends as defined in the following table.

This scheme allows the user to subscribe to three different power levels for each off take point depending on the period.

The user can subscribe for example to different power levels during the weekend and during the week.

The tariffs differ according to the seasons. Winter covers the months from January until March and from October to December. Summer covers the months from April to September. !

Tariff for additional power For additional power that is registered by Elia ex-post, the prices equal 115% of the price for power subscription at the same point, according to the monthly scheme, during the corresponding period.

Local production For off take covered by local production, the price for the subscribed power is reduced with 30%. For these configurations, only the scheme for yearly subscription is valid.

This contractual formula is applicable to the off takes covered by a local production unit of which the injection point coincides with the off take point of the considered off take. The amount of the off take that can benefit from this tariff may not exceed 75 MW. The valid period of this type of subscription is limited to 1000 hours per year.

Elia System Operator makes quarter-hourly deliveries of reactive power that exceed tg Ď•=0.329 per off take point at a unit price of â‚Ź6/MVArh. In the event that the off taken active power does not exceed, on a quarterly basis, 10% of the valid subscriptions at any given point, the additional delivery of reactive power will be defined as the excess in respect of 32.9% of the 10% of the valid subscriptions at that point.

Tariff for compensation of active losses (in application from 1 January 2002 until 31 March 2003

Active losses on the Elia system are compensated in kind by the Access Responsible Party in question, with exception of active losses on the nets of which the tension is lower than or equal to 70 kV, and assigned to off takes situated in the Flemish Region. The tariffs for compensation of active losses, applicable to such off takes, are mentioned in the table below.

A part from these levies other levies can be imposed on basis of decrees that are or will be in vigor, but of which the exact application modalities are not known at this moment.

For the exemptions relating to the year 2003 provided for in Article 5 of the Decree of 24 March 2003, Elia will use the exemption claims validly submitted by the suppliers and certified by the regulator concerned. On this basis, Elia will pay the supplier in question the amount of â‚Ź 0,9029/MWh, which will be applicable to the quantities corresponding to the green certificates and cogeneration certificates mentioned in the exemption claims.

During the period from 1 January 2003 to 9 January 2003, the surcharge for financing of the operating costs of the CREG is applicable.

This amounts to â‚Ź 0,1049/MWh.
