THE CASE FOR NET ZERO READY THERMAL PRESSURE PLATES

For the project, Tubelite combined their Thermal Pressure Plate, made from Innergy AP’s fiber-reinforced polymer, with warm edge spacers to achieve a system U-Factor of 0.32 with excellent condensation resistance (up to 80 CRFf), and industry-leading air, water, structural and acoustic performance.

Independent laboratory testing confirmed the exceptionally high performance. According to Tubelite, the Innergy AP Thermal Pressure Plate was key in meeting Vaisala’s high thermal requirements and net zero ready objectives.

INNERGY AP® THERMAL PRESSURE PLATES, customized for Tubelite, Inc., are a part of the

leading edge of proven sustainable design elements in the new net zero ready headquarters of Vaisala, a global leader in weather, environmental and industrial measurement. The ultra-efficient design from OZ Architecture embraces crisp, modern, minimalist lines and a double height daylit atrium and reception area made possible by Tubelite’s 400T Thermal Curtainwall with Innergy AP thermal pressure plates. The curtainwall features a 2.5-inch aluminum face with system depths from 6.25 to 10.25 inches, anchored by Innergy AP’s metal-like 7,500K psi flexural modulus for superior structural support along with its exceptional thermal performance.

Net zero ready design is a major trend in architecture, allowing building owners to benefit from extraordinary low energy use, far surpassing energy-use codes, while enabling them to add final net zero elements as budgets permit.
