SPEAKEASY & SUPPER CLUB

WELCOME.

This 3rd edition of the Ciro’s Speakeasy cocktail list is a nod to the histrionics of the prohibition era that drove many a well heeled citizen to travel the globe, in search of well made booze to be enjoyed in the clear light of day. The ‘cocktail bar’ concept was then internationally accepted as common place in most cosmopolitan cities and an absolute necessity in the rarest and most exotic far flung outposts. The finest barkeeps & jazz musicians also found their way over to pastures new, as the finest clubs & hoteliers looked to fill gaps in their ranks the world over. This Ciro’s travel brochure captures that globetrotting spirit, to depart our shores in the pursuit of imbibing fantastic cocktails from around the world, and opening the envelope to interesting takes on the classics. We love cocktails, especially the history of the classics, from the creators, their creations, to all the gin joints around the world that employed their wonderful services.

Please enjoy your trip!

{how the map works} Here at Ciro’s the award winning staff selects the right drinks for their guests by asking questions based on flavors & style preferences. Alternatively, guests can make use of the flavour map to help them pick the perfect cocktail. The map lines are the flavour profiles – drinks on the outskirts will be truer to the profile & as the lines meet the profiles will soften. Whether you’re feeling bold with flavours or simply want to take the ordering of a drink into your own hands, please feel free to use the flavour map to help you in your search for the perfect libation. Inspired by Mr.Bax who in turn was inspired by Chef Achatz at Alinea in Chicago.
