Time had become both Hope and fear— Once a patch of grass, Grows into a now young forest— I cannot choose both or one A tug of war played by thoughts and fate And I am caught in the middle— It will either flourish as a despicable Self-sustaining swamp Or be reduced into ashes During fiery summer days— Time is going by so fast, And it is not (yet) talking to me— Trees grow Wherever and whenever it wants to.
Lying in my bed, I hear the clock tick and think of you Caught up in circles, confusion is nothing new Flashback, warm nights almost left behind Suitcases of memories, time after… Everything might change. It will change. But it doesn’t mean you can’t find beauty on what you’ve lost or on what’s new. Sometimes you picture me, I'm walking too far ahead You're calling to me, I can't hear what you've said Then you say, "Go slow", I fall behind The second hand unwinds Some times we just got to take it slow. The good, the bad, the ugly will always be there. So take it in. Breathe. If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time Accept defeat. The word is not yours for the taking no matter how hard you try If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time After my picture fades and darkness has turned to gray Watching through windows, you're wondering if I'm OK Secrets stolen from deep inside The drum beats out of time And the people you expect to stay will leave, I hate to tell you but I told you so. If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time Don’t worry though, you’ll get better without holding on to things. Or people. You said, "Go slow", I fall behind The second hand unwinds If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time
The future is a big ball of seconds thoughts. Listen to the monster in your gut that tells you which way to go. If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time If you fall, wash your knees with saline water from your eyes. The sting will go away or it might not. But you will get used to it, eventually. If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time Rinse and repeat. Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after Time after
What if I still cry before my sleep? Stay awake all night Because of the bad thoughts, And listen to songs just to drown out My own head? I still choke people with disappointments While still writing on pages No one will read? The voices of me in my mind I can still hear clearly And it breaks me a little? My poetry is still borderline Sad and okay? What if I’m still the same? What if I still want to find a new place? What if I still want to run away? What if I still say I’m fine? What if It still hurts to live?
as massive as it sounds, life always has this sense of ending in it.
I learned a trick: to slow down time, wait. Wait for someone. Wait for something.

until you fade
Time had become both Hope and fear— Once a patch of grass, Grows into a now young forest— I cannot choose both or one A tug of war played by thoughts and fate And I am caught in the middle— It will either flourish as a despicable Self-sustaining swamp Or be reduced into ashes During fiery summer days— Time is going by so fast, And it is not (yet) talking to me— Trees grow Wherever and whenever it wants to.
“If being afraid is a crime we hang side by side”
I might still cry on my sleep But it’s due to a movie or a book earlier. Now staying awake all night Means new stories and poetry, That everyone will make space On their heart’s safe. And those voices above my head Will whisper of art and kindness: It’ll reflect to the eyes Of whoever reads what I create. I might not be the same. I might want to go back to the place Where it all began and contributed to what makes me, But I do not intend to stay there. Yes, I might still want to run away, Together with love to discover what’s left of the world. I did fell apart but not destroyed, The broken parts will not be fixed But there are new things that are outgrowing them. And I hope to live Will already mean purpose and happiness.
THE END
Fireworks. Match. Candle. Sparklers. Live like one of them; Consume yourself in the moment Until nothing’s left. You are a celestial bodyA falling star. A king or queen of your own timeRule. Pretend that ephemeral Last forever. Burn. Strike. Light up. Glow.
