Enough is Enough Rally
Clergy and community responded with an Enough is Enough rally to a shooting on 125th Street in front of Boost Mobile store in Harlem. Apostle Dr. Staci Ramos called the community and clergy to action against the rviolence in our streets. DA Alvin Bragg spoke at the rally, alongside CURE Violence groups.

Bronx to Benin Bronxite Osamede Osarugue Uwaifo just married Etinosa Abdulraman Asemota in a beautiful traditional Edo wedding in Benin City. The marriage took place at the bride’s father’s family home on Imade Street in Benin City, on the 29th of December 2021. Their magnificent reception was held at Rose Garden, GRA, Benin city on the 2nd of January, 2022. Back in New York, now, these pictures captured their wonderful day.

JANET & BOBBY—TWO OF OUR ONE-NAME R&B GREATS

Although I didn’t catch it as it aired originally this week, it won’t be long before I take in the current talk of the town, in the two-part Lifetime documentary, “Janet.” Part of the reason myself and a few others I ran across missed the original airing was because while we knew of the project, it wasn’t ingrained as to when the show would air. Could be because aside from being a legendary artist, no other project is associated with Janet Jackson at the moment. That will not be the case when the next big documentary on one of music’s iconic figures hits the screen. Let me explain. On February 16, the Columbus Civic Center in Columbus, Ga. plays host to the first of a 30-city national trek of the Culture Tour, headlined by Ricky Bell, Mike Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill, Bobby Brown, and Ralph Tresvant: the collective known as New Edition. In a recent appearance on Entertainment Tonight, Ronnie assured that this is not a money grab reunion. Far from it. “It’s not about New Edition, it’s about Brotherhood, it’s about people passing. Let’s just mend fences on THAT level. We miss each other.” For the one-time King of Stage, Bobby Brown the tour adds another layer. “You know, I’ve been through a lot in the past and, you know, just getting through it and being able to love what I love, which is entertainment again, is just something special,” Brown tells ET hostess Nischelle Turner. The sentiments are not just sincere, in Brown, however. He has a dedicated fan base as a member of the New Edition and as a solo artist, who await expectantly for the spectacle to hit their town. If all parties involved hold up their end of the bargain, all participants of the tour can bask again in the winner’s circle. To help enhance his chances, A&E Network gives viewers VIP access to music icon and Grammy Award-winner Bobby Brown and his family with a new definitive biography event and docuseries launching this summer.
