Marie Curie was born in Warsaw, Poland on 7th November 1867. She is a physicist and a chemist. At 24 she goes to Paris to study physics and mathematics. She meets Pierre Curie. They fall in love and get married. They study radioactivity together and discover two chemical elements: polonium and radium. They win the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1898. When Pierre dies, Marie starts teaching at the university of Paris. She works hard and wins a second Nobel Prize, for Chemistry, in 1911. She founds the Curie Institutes in Paris and in Warsaw.
