Distribuire le schede prima di far ascoltare la storia, focalizzare l’attenzione sulle immagini  Chiedere se qualcuno conosce questa favola di Esopo “LA CICALA E LA FORMICA” e, in caso affermativo, farla narrare alla classe dagli alunni.  Spiegare che questa versione in Inglese è stata un po’ modificata: la cicala (INGL. cicada) nella versione inglese è sostituita dalla cavalletta; essenzialmente però è molto aderente all’originale.  Scrivere alla lavagna le espressioni che saranno utili a comprendere la storia.  Leggere ad alta voce ed invitare gli alunni ad ascoltare la corretta pronuncia: far quindi ripetere più volte:  GRASSHOPPER – ANT – WINTER – SUMMER – BASKET – BERRIES – NUTS – GUITAR – CAKE – OUTSIDE – INSIDE.  SHE IS BUSY – SHE IS COLLECTING – HE LIES DOWN – HE FALLS ASLEEP – SHE HEARS A KNOCK – THEY REST. Procedere all’ascolto della storia , avendo cura che gli alunni seguano le immagini sullo STORYBOARD. Il racconto è diviso in sei paragrafi. Sia fermata la registrazione ad ogni paragrafo per l’accertamento di comprensione. Se necessario far riascoltare il paragrafo stesso. Chiedere di scrivere le parole chiave sotto i disegni e di completare con le parole le frasi dell’esercizio n.2 Correzione da svolgere ad alta voce.
