IMAGINATION - SHAPES by Angelo Bordiga Enigmatic, almost suspended in time and space Bordiga’s women invite the viewer’s imagination to wander about his intimately restless characters. The subject of the background in is essential, the narrative is kept to a very minimum yet it is the colour, the mixture of pigments and texture that, like for music the chords, express the emotional complexity of this works. IM GI N A O N A
An image is a thousand words . The more we encounter, the more we can imagine. According to Aristotle, phantasia/imagination describes the constructing or manipulation of a quasi-perpetual experience for “the soul never thinks without mental imagery Our mind reframes and integrates images of new mental or physical artefacts. We imagine from experience, knowledge, curiosity, or from memory.
