“Peter Lamb's work can be read as combinations of elements of paint, photography and print media with no preference on one process over another. Rather, these influences expand and contract at intervals as Lamb is playing with the possibilities of each by fusing, jostling and absorbing respective tendencies with traits of one medium correspondingly outputted within the practices of another. Having suggested a lack of hierarchy within the process, the outputs reflect on the broader contemporary sphere of painting as a practice caught up in a transitive state of being. In other words something that passes f rom, between and into another state.”- Matthew Hearn 2017

Space painting by Peter Lamb

ArtMoorHouse Projects 2021 curatorial theme: SPACE This year theme was selected to offer deliberately a vast range of possibilities embracing subjects as diverse as cyber space and the environment. Whilst being timely we wanted to select a topic that reflected a cultural shift that is happening now or that it’s about to happen. From the space we work or live in, to the new concept of space as the required distance between us, or f rom the importance of shapes in def ining space to the abstract idea of it. Our aim is to explore its concept through the very unique point of view of each of the artist selected.
