He studied Fine Art at Plymouth Art college and much celebrated Goldsmiths College, London. His paintings and sculptures are explorations of the complex visual and psychological implications of mirrored surfaces. Works that compel us to look both at the mirror as object and into the mirror as re ection. They explore the constant slippage between what is on the surface and what is beyond, in the re ection. Hosking’s work has exhibited internationally at numerous galleries such as Nathalie Karg Gallery (New York) Andreas Thalmann Gallery (Zurich), Michael Fuchs Gallery (Berlin), Galleria Leme (Sao Paulo), Karyn Lovegrove Gallery (Los Angeles), The Economist Sculpture Plaza (London), Becks Futures (ICA, London), Three from Britain Nevada University, (Las Vegas), Heart and Soul (London and Los Angeles)

About Space - Wall watcher Light is vibration which is capable of roughening a smooth material, of giving a three-dimensional quality to a at surface. It moves in waves constantly interacting with the fabric of its obstacles either to disappear in them or to crate re ections. Does light and surfaces de ne our perception of space? Is the space we see beyond the mirror the “objective” representation of our “subjective” point of view or should it be seen as space that is somehow at the crossing between vision and thought, projection and speculation? Elisa Martinelli - manager and curator at ArtMoorHouse

ArtMoorHouse curatorial theme 2021: SPACE This year theme was selected to offer deliberately a vast range of possibilities embracing subjects as diverse as cyber space and the environment. Whilst being timely we wanted to select a topic that re ected a cultural shift that is happening now or that it’s about to happen. From the space we work or live in, to the new concept of space as the required distance between us, or f rom the importance of shapes in de ning space to the abstract idea of it. Our aim is to explore its concept through the very unique point of view of each of the artist or the projects selected.
