Director’s Note

Thank you for supporting Elk Grove Spotlight Theatre’s production of Annie! This production showcases the largest cast I have worked with here at Spotlight, and it has been an immeasurable gift to watch these bolder-than-life humans create magic together. It feels incredibly reassuring to know a strong sense of community still persists and will always persist in this creative medium.

I want to give an astronomical ‘thank you’ to all of our parents and volunteers. Without all of you, our shows would not be the same! I would also like to shout-out our Choreographer, Amy Chavez, our Vocal Director, Erin Thomas-Lobo, our Stage Manager, Lexi Colatorti, our Producer, Deanna Rafidia, our Production Assistant, Alanis Johnson and our certified Techie, Dustin Sneath. Over the past several shows, we have found our rhythm, and we have connected over our passion for theatre. It is such a joy to have creative partners who see each other’s vision. Even more so, I have the immense privilege of calling each of you my friend. Thank you for everything you do!

Leaping lizards, it’s almost showtime! We hope you enjoy Spotlight’s community performance of Annie!
