Spotlight Theatre presents: Beauty and the Beast! This “tale as old as time” is filled with fun costumes and sets and songs! The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity!
Campers will put on a full scale musical theatre production at Elk Grove High School! Within the six-week camp, counselors will teach basic theatre fundamentals with first-hand tricks to memorizing lines, character development, costuming, and set design. Campers will receive two complimentary tickets for either performance. Camp will also include 2 field trips and weekly swimming. A full calendar will be distributed the first week of camp and is available upon request prior to camp. Payment plan is available!!

The Resident definition is anyone living within the boundaries of the Elk Grove Park District. Residents support the Elk Grove Park District facilities and programs through property taxes which allow taxpayers priority registration. Non-resident registration dates are listed in the program guide. Non-resident program fees are listed with the program fee information. When establishing an account with the Elk Grove Park District, each resident (2 years and older) is required to prove residency. Proof of residency for adults can be a driver’s license, state ID, or health insurance card.
Even though you are a resident of Elk Grove Village, you may not be considered a resident when registering for Elk Grove Park District programs. Why? It is because the Elk Grove Park District is a separate tax supported agency apart from the Village of Elk Grove. This means that even though you may have an Elk Grove Village address, you do not pay taxes to the Elk Grove Park District. The Park District tries to maintain the same boundaries as the Village, however it is not always possible. The quickest way to determine your Park District resident status is to check your residence tax bill. The park district you pay taxes to will be listed.
Elk Grove Business Owners, who reside outside the Elk Grove Park District boundaries, are eligible to receive a discounted business rate on Park District programs. The business rate is equivalent to the listed resident rate, and business owners may register during the resident registration period. However, the participant is still considered a non-resident in terms of residency status. Business owners must prove ownership prior to registration.
Elk Grove Village residents living outside the Park District boundaries (Bluejay, Cardinal, Cutter, Dierking, Doral, Fox Run Drive, Galleon, Gibson Dr. #1500 - #1571, Greensboro Ct., Hawk, Inverness, Lee, Longboat, Oriole, Pebble Beach Cir., Red Fox, Richard, Roppolo, Sara Ct., Schooner, Sell, University, Vera, Vermont Dr. -4 digit numbers, and Yale) and employees of Elk Grove businesses have the opportunity to receive resident rates. The annual membership is $70 per family. To purchase the Non-Resident Household Membership, please stop by the Customer Service Counter at the Pavilion or Al Hattendorf Center.
