THE SHIP BUILDER We have changed our brand name from Kleven Maritime to Kleven. Our philosophy stays the same.

The history of Kleven starts almost 100 years ago. Throughout our history, the will to hard work and the eagerness to improve methods and results has been a hallmark. We value our shipbuilding culture, which has been polished and perfected over decades of achieved success in a demanding market. Our shipbuilding organization is a complex system tailor made for one special purpose; delivering the most profitable and effective solutions to the world’s most demanding ship owners. As a family owned company, deeply rooted in the local communities we operate in, we keep investing in our organisation, facilities and production methods to ensure we stay in the forefront of advanced shipbuilding. To simplify communication with our customers and partners, and to make sure we are easily recognised in the market and in our communities, we have now changed our brand from Kleven Maritime to Kleven. Our philosophy, formulated by Marius Kleven in 1944, stays the same: - In Kleven, we shall maintain the highest possible standards in our work, and we shall always be reliable.

At Kleven, we build and equip large offshore support vessels, fishing vessels and other technically advanced vessels for the world’s leading ship owners. Through a close cooperation with customers and suppliers, we move borders and provide future-oriented solutions with high levels of operational reliability and low maintenance costs. The group has an unrivalled experience in building LNG powered offshore vessels.

Improved quality through modularized shipbuilding Our module based building method, where modules are assembled on the slipway at Kleven Verft, provides a higher level of control with the end product, significantly improving quality and delivery time. Working with open modules makes the installing of equipment safer, faster and easier to control. Implementing robotized welding will further enhance our performance.
