The Brief Tony Broomhead, an architect from Sheffield, set a brief to design unique and innovative Christmas trees for Holbeck Urban Village. The concept was to design a tree that acts as a networking platform, visitors of Marshall Mill can attach their business cards to the tree which act as both decoration and publicity.

Communitree Final tree was made out of 6mm MDF by the Woodwork department at Leeds College of Art. The tree was designed to come as a flat pack set which can be assembled on site, this was achieved by adding slots to allow the tree to come together without the use of glue or nails.

Communitree at Marshall Mills The final tree will be placed in the reception of Marshall Mills and will be used at Christmas events for the businesses within the mill.
