The Brief and Research
Format
A one day brief to design a publication for student ambassadors at Leeds College of Art. The purpose of this brief was to experiment with UX principles outside of a screen. User research was carried out to find out key sites at the college and also routes taken on tours. Once this information was determined an outcome could be designed.
The initial intention for the publication was for the design to fit on one A3 document and to be folded in order for the icons together instead of on individually. Unfortunately this did not leave enough room for written content and had to be changed. Though this was a disappointment the purpose of the book was more important than the visual outcome.

Look and feel Vector illustrations were created using LCA colours. These illustrations are to be used as a reference for student ambassadors as they are taking visitors around the college.

The Handbook The final handbook is an A6 saddle stitched booklet that fits into a back pocket of a pair of jeans. The cover uses the LCA pattern to fits in with the brand guidelines. The purpose of this publication is to assist ambassadors when they are carrying out tours in order to cover the excellent facilities within the college and bring in new students.
