Based on the hit ESPN “30 for 30” podcast, “The Sterling Affairs,” this limited series charts the downfall of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling (Ed O’Neill) and his monumental clash with famed coach Doc Rivers (Laurence Fishburne).

“Erased: WW2’s Heroes of Color” (June 4) Narrated by executive producer Idris Elba, this docuseries uses archival footage and dramatizations to uncover the legacies of soldiers of Color during World War II. The series sheds light on the contributions of over eight million individuals who fought for the Allied forces, yet whose stories have largely gone untold.

“Fiennes Return to the Wild” (Available Now) Sir Ranulph Fiennes, ‘the greatest living explorer’, and his cousin, actor Joseph Fiennes, revisit Ran’s 1971 expedition of Canada’s British Columbia, amidst challenging landscapes and stunning scenery. They discuss Ran’s historic triumphs, expeditions, Parkinson’s diagnosis, strengthening their familial bond.

As Doc Rivers took the team through a drive to win a championship, the remainder of Sterling’s reputation crumbled on a worldwide digital stage.

“Marlon Wayans: Good Grief” (June 4)

Showcasing Wayans’ unique brand of comedy — blending physical humor and hilarious commentary, with a surprising amount of heart — this comedy special was taped at the iconic Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. Comedy meets therapy as Wayans works through his grief after recently losing both of his parents. He shares the surprises you encounter when changing your aging parents’ diapers, and who is the funniest Wayans.

“Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation” (June 7)

Based on the hit children’s animated series, this spinoff film follows the Green family as they embark on an adventurous, outer space-bound vacation. When thrill-seeker Cricket tricks his family into taking a “road trip” in space, chaos in the cosmos quickly ensues.

“Brother Bear” (Available Now)

After killing the bear who killed his brother, Kenai (Joaquin Phoenix), a brave young Indigenous man, is magically transformed into a bear himself for his actions. To make matters worse, his other brother, Denahi (Jason Raize), vows to kill the bear Kenai has become. Kenai’s only hope is a magical mountain where he believes he can be changed back to a human, and he enlists a real bear cub, Koda (Jeremy Suarez), to get him there.

This biographical drama series finds a 38-year-old Karl Lagerfeld (Daniel Bruhl) in 1972 and not yet wearing his iconic hairstyle. He is a readyto-wear designer, unknown to the general public. While he meets and falls in love with the sultry Jacques de Bascher, an ambitious and troubling young dandy, the most mysterious of fashion designers dares to take on his friend (and rival) Yves Saint Laurent (Arnaud Valois), a genius of haute couture.

“The Hunt” (Available Now) Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are — or how they got there. In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, ruthless elitists gather at a remote location to hunt humans for sport. But their master plan is about to be derailed when one of the hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin), turns the tables on her pursuers. Hilary Swank, Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley and Glen Howerton also star.

Based on the bestselling novel by Candice Carty-Williams, this drama series follows Queenie Jenkins (Dionne Brown), a 25-year-old Jamaican British woman living in south London, who finds herself straddling two cultures a feeling like she doesn’t fit into either. After a messy breakup, Queenie seeks comfort in all the wrong places and begins to realize that she has to face the past head-on before she can rebuild a better life.

“Linsanity” (Available Now) In February 2012, an entire nation of basketball fans unexpectedly went ‘Linsane.’ Stuck in the mire of a disappointing season, the New York Knicks did what no other NBA team had thought about doing — they gave backup point guard Jeremy Lin an opportunity to prove himself. “Jo Koy: Live From Brooklyn” (June 4) Jo Koy returns to Netflix in typical style, sharing his unfiltered opinions on social media, aging and moving into a new phase of his life — his “zaddy” phase. The special was filmed at the historic King’s Theatre in Brooklyn, New York.

“Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura” (June 6)

This highly-anticipated anime crossover tells the stories of various fighters, centered on the epic life-and-death clash between protagonist Baki Hanma, the youngest underground fighting champion, and his father Yujiro Hanma, the “strongest creature in the world.” Nobunaga Shimazaki and Tatsuhisa Suzuki voice star.

“The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou” (Available Now)

‘American Graffiti’ brings the early ‘60s back strongly

For one of the most entertaining doses of nostalgia that the cinema has offered, “American Graffiti” fits the bill completely. Being shown by Turner Classic Movies on Sunday, June 2, director George Lucas’s 1973 comedy focuses on several California high schoolers … some of whom have just graduated and aren’t quite sure about their futures. Curt and Steve (played by Richard Dreyfuss and Ron Howard) supposedly are leaving for college the next day, but Curt develops second thoughts, largely fueled by his sighting of a blonde motorist (Suzanne Somers). The fabulous ensemble cast also includes Paul Le Mat, Charles Martin Smith, Candy Clark, Mackenzie Phillips, Bo Hopkins, legendary disc jockey Wolfman Jack and Harrison Ford – the latter becoming even more famous for filmmaker Lucas as Han Solo and Indiana Jones later. Fans of music of the story’s era will be delighted with the soundtrack choices, encompassing many of the pop hits of the time.
