Curriculum: Approved District recommendation of Bridges as the elementary math curriculum

exceeded my high expectations,

and my children’s experiences rival those of any peers who attend other highly regarded public or private schools. The school is an integral part of the community and serves as the nerve center for parent network-

We are grateful for the kindness of our children’s teachers. There is a genuine concern for the

Strategy Map: Approved changes to strategic

objectives that include the ‘development of a communitybased approach to social emotional learning’

whole child. Our children feel loved and important in their classrooms, and that is HUGE! ~ Middle School Parent

Internet Capacity: Partnered with the City of

Brookfield to build a dark fiber network across the community to support internet bandwidth needs for the next 20 years Swanson Expansion: A significant increase in enrollment on the south side of the Elmbrook community placed capacity pressures on Swanson Elementary. The school board approved a $2.4 million expansion at Swanson for a multipurpose cafeteria and gymnasium, the first facility addition since 1992 when classrooms were added without corresponding gymnasium space.

Expansion of Swanson Elementary School

Enrollment Balancing Task Force: The school board commissioned a task force which met for six months and issued a comprehensive report and recommendation for 2017-18. The Board approved this recommendation on Oct. 8, 2016.
