You won’t feel like a newcomer for long. And you’ll get to know plenty of transfer students with experiences a lot like yours. One in three of our students come to us from another college or university. We understand your particular concerns and needs, and we’re deeply committed to your success. Our admission counselors are determined to get to know you as an individual, and to make the transfer process smooth sailing. We encourage you to schedule an appointment with a counselor to ask questions, evaluate your transcripts, and develop a clear road map toward your Elmhurst degree. I even started a new organization on campus—a chapter of the NAACP. I never would have done that in the past, and that experience has given me courage to do more new things. Elmhurst College has prepared me for my future; it’s definitely gotten me ready for anything.

PHILLIP LEE

JORDAN MACRI Major/Minor Psychology/Chemistry Transferred From Harper College Elmhurst Experience I chose Elmhurst because the classes are small, and the professors are great about making time to meet with students. Also, I had a wonderful advisor who did everything in her power to find the information that I needed to make a successful transfer. The advising staff and the professors here genuinely enjoy working with students and work hard to help students be successful.

Clubs/Organizations The Leader, Game Developers Club, WRSE Transferred From DePaul University Elmhurst Experience Elmhurst makes it easy to let go and try new things. I never worked for a newspaper before, but I ended up writing articles and editing videos for Elmhurst’s newspaper, The Leader. Being able to use my skills to make an impact on campus is pretty cool. And I appreciate the opportunity to challenge myself to try something new and see my name in print.

Major Psychology Transferred From Chamberlain College of Nursing Clubs/Organizations Kappa Kappa Gamma, Pi Gamma Mu Elmhurst Experience I fell in love with Elmhurst the minute I stepped on campus. Even though I didn’t know anybody here, I felt welcomed and everyone I saw gave me a smile. There’s a real sense of community here, and that extends to the professors too. They pay attention to each student and put all of their efforts into teaching. Since transferring to Elmhurst my grades have gone up every semester, and that shows me that I finally found a school that I can call home.
