resident Joe Biden signed a massive $1.9 trillion relief package,March 11th, that includes a $1,400 stimulus check. The payments won’t all go out at once. Many of those who already have their banking information on file with the Internal Revenue Service will most likely get their check first.

Families will also get an additional $1,400 per child. For example, a married couple with three children could possibly receive up to $7,000. The full amount only goes to individuals who make less than $75,000 of adjusted gross income, head of households earning less than $112,500 and married couples earning less than $150,000. Unlike the previous two rounds, this third round of checks will include eligible adult dependents. The previous

stimulus checks were limited to children under the age of seventeen. Now, parents with college students, people who claim elderly people and individuals with disabilities will be able to receive extra money in their check. In the past the first round of checks took nearly two weeks until they started showing up in people’s bank accounts. For the second round, it was within days. Some individuals have already reported their
third stimulus check has been added to their account. For those who receive paper checks or prepaid debit cards, they should receive their payments later this month or early April. “A vaccinated American is the only way to beat the pandemic, get the economy back on track, and for us to get back our lives and our loved ones. That’s why the American Rescue Plan was so critical,”
said President Biden. The IRS updated its Get My Payment tool that allows individuals to check the status of their stimulus check. Information needed to find out your status is your social security number, birthdate, address and zip code. If your information does not match the IRS records, you can possibly be locked out of the Get My Payment site for 24 hours. The bill also includes a $300 boost to unemployment payments and extended benefit programs through September 6. It will also make the first $10,000 worth of unemployment benefits payments taxfree. The bill is more than stimulus checks and unemployment benefits. It includes health insurance subsidies, a cashfor-kids allowance to decrease child poverty, state and local aid and money for schools, restaurants, pensions, homeowners, renters, farmers and funerals.

Governor Cuomo of New York Recieves Impeachment Inquiry Lorenzo Arce News Editor

overnor Andrew Cuomo of New York will be facing an impeachment inquiry for multiple allegations of sexual harassment and falsifying death reports for nursing home patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement for the investigation was made Mar. 11 after the State Assembly Committee met after pleas for his resignation from office were unanswered. Lawmakers of New York released a letter signed by 19 state Senators and 40 state Assembly members. It read, “In light of the Governor's admission of inappropriate behavior and the findings of altered data on nursing home COVID-19 deaths he has lost the confidence of the public and the state legislature, rendering him ineffective in this time of most urgent need," it continues, “It is time for Governor Cuomo to resign.” As of now, seven allegations of inappropriate behavior by Cuomo have surfaced. The latest allegation came on Mar. 12 from a former statehouse reporter, Jessica Bakeman. She details on a self-written article on New York Intelligencer her multiple uncomfortable encounters with him. In one encounter, he belittled her in front of her male colleagues by holding her inappropriately in front of them while asking her,
“I’m sorry. Am I mak-
ing you uncomfortable? I thought we were going steady.”
Charlotte Bennett, a health policy advisor and executive assistant for Cuomo in 2019 also accused him of harassment. She claims he had an inappropriate conversation with her about her sex life. He told Bennett he was lonely and comfortable with sleeping with younger women such as herself. Bennett also accused his office director at the time, Stephanie Benton, of completing online sexual harassment training for him. Benton has denied the allegation. According to Times Union, Another woman, who wished not to reveal her name, was fondled by Cuomo at his mansion after he requested her help for a “work related matter”. According to a report released by New York Attorney General Letitia James, Cuomo’s administration falsified COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes. The investigation began when the New York Post leaked an audio recording of Melissa DeRosa, one of Cuomo’s aides, speaking on his behalf to the New York State Democratic Committee. She apologized for not being forthcoming in COVID-19 death counts because she believed the information will be obtained by the Trump administration and give them the upper hand in the 2020 presidential election. In some cases, the nursing home deaths were undercount-
ed by as much as 50%. CNN reported in other cases numbers changed by a group of Cuomo’s aides including DeRosa. When the report was made Cuomo said, “I accept responsibility for that. I am in charge...We should have provided more information faster. We were too focused on doing the job and addressing the crisis of the moment."

Gamestop Stock Continues to Rise, but It Doesn’t Tell the Whole Story Bryan Chavez Reporter

amestop at one point was heaven on earth for lots of people and even before Covid-19 many stores were beginning to close. Now after many turns of events the stock has continued to see green numbers as it continues to rise. This trend began in late January, when Reddit users teamed up against Wall Street and their hedge funds. Ever since then the stock has been constant, with many gamers and day traders teaming up together to save their beloved Gamestop, they even started the hashtag “#saveGameStop”. Reddit which hosts “WallStreetBets” forums is a place where many people can go and
get an insight for investing in companies like gamestop, this was the source that many people depended on and was the reason the stock famously rose the first time around. People are still being encouraged to buy and hold in order to save their store and give a lesson to the hedge funds that had bet against the company.This time around, analysts do not think that these sites have had anything to do with the recent rise of the GME stock. The rising stock has given more spotlight to the company, but it does not tell the whole truth on how the stores are actually doing. An article written by gamerant stated, “Going back to 2009, when Gamestop was more profitable than the digital market and did not have the same impact it has now, physical games made up
for 80% of the gaming market”. Now fast forward to 2018 and we see that the physical games did not even make it to 20%, this trend will only continue as time moves forward and internet speeds continue to get faster. As a result Gamestop closed 321 stores in 2019 and will only continue to close more as their market continues to shrink, and with Covid-19 creating more problems for companies gamestop will need to try and approach the digital era in a different way to try and save their company from becoming the next blockbuster. Time will only tell what the future holds for the gaming company, all they can hope for is for their sales to skyrocket just as their stock has.

Microsoft Officially Acquires ZeniMax for $7.5 million Brandon R amirez Opinion Editor

M
icrosoft officially acquired ZeniMax and their subsidiaries earlier this month. This was a big gain for Microsoft who has been taking steps to acquire more in-house developers. The $7.5 million acquisition of ZeniMax nets Microsoft some big name developers such as Bethesda and iD Software. This means they also acquired their intellectual properties (I.P.s) such as The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and DOOM. The acquisition was originally announced by Xbox last year in Sep. in a blogpost “welcoming Bethesda to the Xbox family”. The blogpost mentions the two companies' storied his-
tory and the excitement of the upcoming merger. The United States Security and Exchange Commision (SEC) approved the deal on March 4. While this didn’t guarantee the acquisition, less than a week later the european commission’s approval cemented the merger. This had many curious about the future of Xbox exclusives and of their I.P.s. Microsoft held a roundtable discussion on March 11 with key leaders including head of marketing and PR at Xbox Pete Hines, head of partnerships at Xbox Sarah Bond, head of Xbox Phil Spencer, and executive producer and face of Bethesda Todd Howard. At this event, they discussed the acquisition, its benefits, and what is planned going forward.

After the acquisition was made official, Bethesda tweeted out this gif. Though the deal had been in the works for months, it was only recently made official.
Some big questions that fans had were answered early on. Regarding exclusivity, the developers under ZeniMax are not going to be entirely exclusive. They will still meet any already established contractual obligations. However, the point was made that the purpose of the merger was to bring exclusives to Xbox’s player base. This also means a lot for Xbox Game Pass. Exclusives as well as multi-platform I.P.s will be made available on Game Pass meaning that members of will
have access to major titles for a set monthly subscription. Much of the media surrounding the acquisition, as well as the roundtable, point toward Game Pass being a major focus for Microsoft moving forward. Game Pass’ subscription service model is backed by Microsoft’s recent acquisitions, and by Microsoft’s Xbox Games Launcher that makes games available on both Xbox and PC, and on Microsoft’s cloud gaming service. Notably, at the roundtable Todd Howard
explained how Game Pass also provides a built-in base of users for games and how that means more creative freedom. This sentiment is further echoed in the relationship that Microsoft has with ZeniMax subsidiaries post-merger. Developers like Bethesda will remain mostly autonomous moving forward, mainly benefiting from the increase in resources from Microsoft, and wider audience from Game Pass.

A’s NCAA Football games started back in 1993 and had a huge following ever since. The popularity, game play, and fans rivaled the Madden NFL line. The last installment of the game was NCAA Football 14 which was released in 2013. February 2, 2021, an eight year hiatus, EA announced the return of the classic line of games. The reason for the return of the game is the reason the game ended: the athletes. It started in July 2009 when former and current collegiate athletes filed a class-action lawsuit. Ed O’Bannon, former UCLA basketball player, led the way and brought up how EA used his and many other’s likeness in their games. To be
within NCAA’s guidelines, EA would have the number and position of a player where their last name would be on the jersey. Although EA did not include their names, they had the exact height and handedness of the players in the video game. EA wanted to pay the athletes but knew they would violate NCAA rules, so they left the case and agreed to a $400 million settlement. August 8, 2014, court ruled that that NCAA’s rules of not paying their athletes violated antitrust laws. NCAA lost their college football television rights and paid the plaintiffs $42.2 million. Soon after, EA announced the end of the NCAA Football line of games. EA’s timing on bringing the game back couldn’t be more perfect. ne of the rumors that Meghan had set straight with Oprah was that she didn’t make her sister-in-law, the Duchess Kate Middleton cry. Au contraire, Kate Middleton had made Meghan cry. With the wedding stress and Kate not liking the flower girl dress, Kate had said something, that was not fully revealed, to Meghan that had hurt her feelings. Markle did say that there was an apology along with flowers with a note from her sister-in-law. Despite all the false rumors and accusations that made Meghan look bad, everyone in the palace knew they weren’t true but nobody spoke up to set the records straight, they just let it happen. Markle delt with a lot of racism, yet the royal family did not acknowlege it. Nobody was protecting her. It was obvious that they treated Meghan differently, compared to Kate. Due to the stress of having a senior role in the royal family and the tabloids speaking badly of her constantly, all while being pregnant, it led her to a dark place. She revealed that at one point, she didn’t want to be alive anymore. Although she was ashamed to admit it, she needed help. She had asked the royal institution for help, to be admitted somewhere, telling them she wasn’t okay, but they didn’t do anything about it. You might ask, why didn’t she just take herself to get the help she

She wasn’t even allowed to go out and get lunch with her friends. She even tried calling the Buckingham Palace’s HR to receive the help she needed, but they couldn’t help her because she wasn’t technically an employee. What was Harry doing about it? He had admitted that it took him a while to speak up for his wife because he was ashamed that she needed help but when he did, they kind of just replied with “this is how it is”. While she was pregnant with Archie, they were told that the child would not have a title, or security. Even before knowing the gender, they had said they didn’t want the baby to be a prince or princess. No
explanation why. They didn’t care much about the title, but what they did want protection for the baby. Harry disclosed that a family member was concerned about what skin tone the baby will have. The mystery is, which family member do you think said that? They also never asked to take the traditional photo with the baby after being born. The couple decided to step back from the royal family in 2019 and moved to Canada because they couldn’t get the help they needed and the lack of support from both the firm and the press. veryone is dreamy about Zac Efron especially in the High School Musical films. Despite his look as Troy Bolton, is he still looking dreamy even if he portrays a serial killer. In the film, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile directed by Joe Berlinger, Zac Efron portrays the serial killer and rapist Ted Bundy. The film re-enacts the life of Bundy. It is based on Bundy’s former girlfriend, Elizabeth Kendall's book memoir The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy. The Netflix original film had mixed reviews, but Efron’s performance portraying the criminal was admired. Everyone has seen the film, but not everything is told about the infamous killer. Ted Bundy was born Theodore Robert Cowell on November 24, 1946 in Burlington, Vermont. Bundy first lived with

They reported that the royal family cut them off financially during the first quarter of 2020. Luckily Harry has money saved from his mother, Princess Diana. They also have many deals with big companies including Netflix. Because he took matters into his own hands, Harry’s relationship with his family has changed. He shares that at one point, his father Prince Charles, stopped taking his calls and explains that his relationship
with his brother Prince William is “spaced”. Now, Harry said his father started accepting his calls again but things are still rocky. He wants to heal his relationship with his family, his father especially. The couples relationship with the queen is still good, they call each other constantly. Harry knows that his mother, Princess Diana, would be angry about all of this. But now they are living the life they wanted, they love living authentically they said. The couple admitted that if they had the support, they would still be living in Buckingham Palace. Harry has no regrets about any of it, he had to do what he had to do for his family. The couple are expecting a baby girl in the summer. Their little family is thriving and it is truly a happily ever after.

In 1969, he met Elizabeth Kloepfer, a divorced woman from Utah who worked as a secretary. During the mid1970s, Bundy re-enrolled at the University of Washington again as a psychology major. He was an honor student. He graduated in 1972. After graduating, Bundy joined a re-election campaign. In 1973, he was accepted into the University of Utah law
school. In 1974, he started to skip classes the same time women began to disappear. Ted Bundy confessed to killing 36 women across several states such as Washington, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, Idaho and Florida. Although, it may be that it was 100 or more women killed. It is unknown the exact amount of women that disappeared. Bundy would lure women to his car by pretending to be injured. In 1974, Bundy was pulled over by police in Utah. Police found burglary tools in his car and was arrested. The arrest linked him to more crimes. A year later, he was arrested and convicted for the kidnapping of a woman who managed to escape him. Then, he escaped prison twice in 1977. During his second escape, he went to Florida. He broke into a sorority at Florida State University and attacked four female students. He killed two of them. The film gives us a representation of Bundy’s trial and escapes. As well as him claiming he wasn’t a serial killer. Ted Bundy was sentenced to death row and died in 1989 by electric chair. He was one of the notorious serial killers in the late 20th century.

he first four teams to qualify for this year's edition of the Champions League have already been decided after last week's games. Fc Porto, Paris Saint Germain, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool are the teams that qualified for the quarter finals. However, some big teams were knocked out early this year. Leipzig and Sevilla were knocked out by Liverpool and Dortmund, however the two big ones were the falling of Juventus and Barcelona. A Juventus side that has Cristiano Ronaldo on its front line were not able to defeat a Porto side that is struggling in the Liga Nos. Porto went into this game with a 2-1 lead, however they were able to extend their lead in the 19th minute after a penalty that was put away by Sérgio Oliveira. It was
made complicated for Porto when in the 54th minute, their stricker Mehdi Teremi got sent off after a second yellow card for time wasting. Federico Chiesa managed to bring the game back level with goals in the 49th and 63rd minute of the second half. The 90 minutes ended with a 3-3 aggregate score which meant the game would go into extra time. The game looked like it could go both ways. However, in the second half of extra time, a free kick for Porto put them ahead. The free kick was scored by Sérgio Oliveira. The ball went over the Juventus wall, however the wall Juventus was atrocious. Adrien Rabiot brought the game back level with a header in the 117th minute, but Porto would still pass due to the away goal rule. There was not enough time for Juventus to score one more which gave Porto the shock of the tournament and a ticket to the Champions League quarter finals

In the Parc Des Princes Barcelona had a mountain to climb against French giants PSG. PSG had a huge lead after the second leg with a 4-1 lead against the Blaugrana. Barcelona have been coming off some really important wins and with lots of confidence over the last few weeks however it was not enough to overtake the Parisians. Barcelona dominated the early parts of the game. As expected Barcelona had the majority of possessions and plenty of chances but failed to convert them into goals. A lack of concentration from Barcelona center back Clement Lenglet gave away a penalty for PSG which was converted by Kylian Mbappe giving PSG a
5-1 lead, making it even harder for Barcelona. Messi was able to get one back for Barcelona with an amazing strike from around 40 yards out. Messi also had the chance to score his second of the game after Layvin Kurzawa gave away a penalty for Barcelona. However, PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas managed to save the penalty from “La Pulga”. This is also the first time since the 05/06 season that Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo get knocked out before the quarter finals of the Champions League. The last 4 games of the round of 16 will be played on March 16th and 17th where we will figure out the next 4 teams to qualify for the quarter finals.

n March 7th, Blake Griffin agreed to a deal with the Brooklyn Nets for the rest of the season. Griffin was done wasting his time with the Detroit Pistons. He decided to join a team that he believes can actually compete for a championship. He knew his old Pistons team wouldn’t be able to make it to the playoffs. The Pistons currently sit in last place of the eastern conference. With no superstar players around him since the Clipper days, Griffin looks to make the most of this opportunity. He only has one goal in mind and that is to win. With the addition of Blake Griffin, the Brooklyn Nets now have four superstar players. These players being Griffin himself with Kyrie Irving, Kevin
Durant and James Harden. Each of these players have led their own team in the past. Griffin had the Pistons, Irving had the Cavaliers, Harden had the Rockets and Durant had the Thunder. With Irving and Durant both having rings already, they look to get Harden and Griffin their first championship. It is without doubt that the Brooklyn Nets are now the favorites to win this year's championship. Therefore, anything other than that will be a disappointment. With that being said, they’re still teams out there that can compete with them. For example, the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers could still possibly beat them in a seven game series. Some other teams that can beat them are the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers. As a matter of fact the 76ers are still first in the eastern conference. The NBA has seen their fair
share of super teams. There has been the Miami Heat with Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. The most recent one being the Golden State Warriors with Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. This new Brooklyn Nets team though might be the best super team of all time. They have three players that can basically score whenever they want and top five power forward in the league. Not to mention they have a solid center in DeAndre Jordan, they have the best starting five in the league without a doubt.

Dodgers to Allow 20% Capacity, Rangers 100%, others MLB teams announce Reopening Plans

Dodger Stadium will reopen on April 9 against Washington. It will mark the first time fans attend the stadium since 2019 Stadium, a ballpark with 56,000 seats, will allow up to 11,000 fans to return on opening day, which is its equivalent to 20 percent capacity given the announcement Friday. This announcement with less than a month left until the Dodgers home opener against the Washington Nationals on April 9. With COVID-19 cases

n Friday, Los Angeles County received official permission to move into the red colored tier of COVID-19 guidelines, leading the way for Dodger Stadium being able to allow 20 percent capacity in stadium. Dodger
lowering in numbers, and vaccines being dished out with more normality, it allowed for the move into the red tier. The red tier will mean fans going to the Dodgers home opener will get the chance to buy items from concessions. If Los Angeles County would have stayed in the purple tier by the time opening day started,
there would have only been an allowed capacity of about 100 fans. This also being with no concessions being allowed. At this very moment, Dodgers ticket prices are sitting for slightly over $2,000 at cheapest for Opening Day. These prices are only present via Stubhub at the moment though. The Dodgers still have not announced official ticket prices yet, and remain to announce more on stadium guidelines. As for the Angels, they are also allowing 20 percent capacity as well, but this estimates to about 9,000 people based on their stadium capacity. They will also release further information on tickets and stadium guidelines. Across the MLB, we saw many other Major League teams announce their reopening plans as well. The surprise amongst the reopenings occurred with Texas Ranger’s now second-year ballpark, Globe Life Field. With the recent reopening of the state of Texas, the Rangers announced that they will allow 100 percent of fans to return to their ballpark. park. The mask must be worn throughout the game’s entirety except when actively eating or drinking. The announcement has caused excitement for their fans, being able to attend their new stadium after not being able to go to ballgames in its inaugural year. Their ballpark was only open to limited capacity during the NLCS and World Series. However, the announcement has also brought much concern to fans of the team as well as the players and those in the organization. Rangers pitcher Kyle Gibson stated in an interview with Dallas News, “Playing in front of fans is going to be awesome. But I also think that the natural concern I have is where our families are going to sit and how we’re going to keep them out of harm’s way.” As for other Major league teams, most have announced their reopening plans as well. Most teams are allowing around 20 to 30 percent capacity. The only team that was not given the green light to reopen was the Nationals and Nationals Park. Other teams such as the Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays have not given specific details but are expected to reopen.

Discover’s Senior Vice President Kate Manfred expresses hope, commitment, and their support to continue the growth in girl’s sports and in hockey. Also as Marketing Officer at Discover, Manfred shares excitement of the first women’s hockey league to be televised on major networks. “We are already seeing a positive impact being made in women’s sports, and we look forward to seeing who will ultimately raise the Isobel Cup.”
With daily COVID-19 tests being administered to players and staff, playoffs will continue with no fan attendance at the arena. For the first comeback and semifinal game, Boston Pride will play on their home turf against Toronto Six on March 26, 5pm EST. Minnesota Whitecaps versus Connecticut Whale will follow as the second match at 8pm EST. Winner of both games will compete in the final on March 27 at 7pm EST. To watch these teams fight for the cup, all games will be televised on NBCSN and streamed on all NBC platforms.

hat feels like an eternity, roughly two years to be exact, we finally get our first dose of the Marvel property since Avengers Endgame which was released back in May of 2019. Granted, Black Widow was supposed to have been released Summer 2020, but with the pandemic being at an all time high this past summer, Marvel & DIsney opted to not release the film on Disney+, and instead pushed the premiere date to a later time when theatres and guests alike can view the movie on the big screen. WandaVision picks up just two weeks after Endgame, where we find Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) inside of what appears to be a black & white sitcom of the early 1950s, mimicking that of “Bewitched'' and “I Love Lucy”.
Right off the bat we see that Vision is alive. If you recall back in “Infinity War'' we saw Vision die...TWICE! So the big mystery revolving the show is why are they in a sitcom and how is Vision still alive? The show is littered with “easter eggs” paying homage to events that happened in past Marvel films, but these small details also pave way to the unraveling of the show. It starts slow for the first three episodes to show what Wanda is doing throughout this time and the reality she has created. The show captures the grief and pain she has endured over the years from losing her family to the love of her life. Without giving away too many spoilers WandaVision does a fantastic job bridging the gap between Avengers Endgame and setting up for Marvel's phase 4 of films. There is back story on how Wanda got her powers and how she

When people are dealing with a lot of social stress, it can lead them to having bad headaches. Not only headaches but also a fast heart rate, lungs tightening, anxiety, dizziness, and depression to name a few. To some
even, they think that social stress may not be relieved and it is just a part of life. What Leads to Social Stress? Many things might lead to social stress, however many believe that it is because we throw
ourselves into huge amounts of social environments. Although we may throw ourselves to be very social, we may throw it in wrong ways which put us in little control of the situation. This can eventually lead to even

Not only that, but also critical comments, nonstop comparisons, and gloom and doom media reports that mess with our emotional and mental well-being. Sometimes perhaps we may be focused on what we read social media and care how people think and say. So people may adopt to themselves trying to be someone they are not. How to Cope with Social Stress? Well many people deal with social stress in different ways, however in my opinion I believe being outside with friends or family helps a lot. People must remind themselves that living a social life is really good for us. After all we are human, social creatures by nature and we do have companionship and friendships. One thing I like to do a lot is spend time with the family whether it's at a park, beach, or someone's backyard. While spending time with family try not to be focused on your phone just enjoy what's happening at the moment. Be sure to turn off your social media, turn off your notifications and enjoy having face to face conversations. It is the face to face interactions that I think helps us calm our minds. Do We Have to Delete Social Media? I wouldn’t say you should delete it, just turn it off or don’t focus it when you are having face to face interactions. I do highly recommend to spend a lot of time with loved ones and turn off social media notifications. Face to face interactions is perhaps the best way to cope with stress in my opinion.

If they have a strong scent, dogs can be trained to become medical detection dogs. They can tell when a human has a specific medical condition. As well as reminding their owner that they need more medication. For instance, dogs can tell if you have COVID-19 during these times. Dogs have about 220 scent receptors in their noses. Whereas us, we only have about 5 million scent receptors. Moreover, dogs can sense different types of cancer with different samples. In addition, they can sense other diseases such as malaria, Parkinson's disease, even as detecting migraines. 2. Dogs have three eyelids Dogs have a third eyelid called a haw. On the other hand, cheetahs can run up to 70 mph, but can only keep it going for about 30 seconds. Whereas dogs can run beyond 35 mph for seven miles. Therefore, in a race between a cheetah and Greyhound, the Greyhound would catch up to the cheetah. 4. Dogs sweat differently When we sweat, we are smelly and wet, but dogs sweat. It's different. Instead of sweating a watery liquid like we do, dogs produce a pheromone laden oily substance humans can’t detect. Although, they do sweat like us on their paws. They pant to cool down. 5. Dog have dreams If you have seen your dog twitch in the middle of the night, it means they are dreaming. They dream just like we do. Dogs have sleep patterns and brain activity like humans. Smaller breeds tend to dream more than larger breeds. Nobody knows what dogs might be dreaming about, but it could be about playing outside. Though, dogs can have nightmares too.
