A huge wall of Ice has forced residents near Lake Erie to “drive with caution”. The weather service in Buffalo have believed wind speeds could reach up to 75 miles per hour. This has forced the police service to close down the Niagara River Parkway. The New York Power Authority has announced that high winds raised water levels in parts of Lake Erie. The Ice Tsunami has been covering the Hoover Beach area and many parts of Hamburg, New York. Many residents who live in this area have evacuated due to the large amount of Ice. Dave Schultz who is a Hoover Beach resident said “ We’ve had storms in the past but nothing like this, We’ve never has the ice pushed up against the walls and right up onto our patios. This is according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, who also stated that the states that have reported to CDC are California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, New York, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.”
