Learning Strategies At the beginning of the course, colour one or two of Witty’s pictures for each strategy, according to how often you use it to improve your English. At the end of the first, second and third term, colour one ore more Wittys depending on your progress.

Listening I pay attention to what the teacher says. I try to follow the teacher’s instructions. I try to pay attention to key words in order to understand the texts in the CD. I listen to the songs at home. I pay attention to my classmates when they are speaking.

Speaking I speak in English in class with my classmates. I try to always speak in English, even if I make mistakes. I ask when I don´t understand. I try to use new words and expressions in class.

Reading I use the pictures to understand the texts. I try to understand the texts even if I don´t know all the words. I use a bilingual dictionary to look up words I don´t understand.

Writing I write new words in my notebook. When I write I pay attention to the examples in the book. I read what I have written to find mistakes and correct them.
