The existing housing in Rua de S. Joao, inescapably establishes a relation with the main street, where the door step stone focuses directly on the tar road, but also with a very narrow access created by the adjacent dwelling, emerging on a careless backyard, where everything is stored, and where plants filled the existing area, leading us into gaze. The lot features a clear longitudinally (4.20 x 18 m), which came to be one of the key factors for the development of the project's idea. The proposed intervention met the changing needs of the family, with the addition of a room in the existing typology, and the consequent spatial reorganization. In this way, the concept of a patio house was developed, in which the patio arises as the epicenter of spatial, structural and hierarchical organization of the house, as well as the element generator of light for the proposed environments.

The bike was always part of my life, while subject of playing, or transport, the ever faithful companion of all the missions, it was in fact 'my bike'. Since the first, the small yellow and green (with side wheels), the Marvil, the pinped yellow (first 'big' bike, which i never seen again after being stolen), the red ... A few years later, the BMX (now with Dinis), Berg (sold at the last minute before I move to Dubai), and the ISCA! All of them with its importance during the period in which existed, but the idea to revive something totally stopped in time, sometimes characterized as junk, expectant to be recycled as a custom and unique object, revealing part of its uniqueness by assigning a new character, the former Reynolds of uncle Zé was in fact perfect for this! The idea wasn’t new, and cases like this arises every day! What makes him a special case is the fact that inherit a family object, container of history, life and memories, visible in reaction (uncle Zé) after the total transformation of what was his great bike! The process of development and materialization of the idea emerges as a natural consequence of this intention, and in between friends, quickly reveals a passion for bicycles, in which his current work focuses on this type of intervention. From this point, ISCA (Carlos Calhau) was the fundamental element for this process come to life, with a unquestionable commitment and dedication, which part of this project, without doubt, belongs to him.
