FIRST EMCO CENTER OF EXCELLENCE IN SLOVENIA: Skofja Loka School Center Becomes the First Slovenian Competence Center for CNC Training and Practice. In presence of numerous industry representatives, the mayor of Skofja Loka and a representative of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, the first Center of Excellence was officially opened in a festive ceremony on October 21. With the establishment of the Center of Excellence, EMCO provides a platform for continuous improvement and development of CNC training in line with the industry: Up to date, in line with the industry and comprehensive - this is how perfect training should look like.
The topic is up to date and a burning issue for the entire sector: Where will we find our future skilled workers? Years with low birth rates, a very hesitant mood of girls to start a technical training, and a retirement age tending to be too early are just a few topics the discussions are focusing on. As experienced provider of CNC training concepts, EMCO supports technically oriented training institutions in meeting the industry’s requirements on skilled CNC workers: with corresponding CNC machines for training, software and modern courseware – and the establishment of the Center of Excellence for CNC training.
How is the first Center of Excellence of Slovenia / Skofja Loka School Center accompanied and supported by Decca - EMCO’s Slovenian trading partner – and EMCO? •
Proximity to the industry as part of everyday life, not as catch phrase – continuous exchange with and between all Centers of Excellence partners, for example during the annual meeting in the EMCO headquarters in Hallein
•
Continuous involvement in product development processes
•
Regular training courses at the EMCO Technology Center or on site
•
Teaching and learning material for everyday classes, for example EMCO Campus
•
Technical advice from a didactical point of view and technical on-site support
•
Support in the planning and preparation of the Center of Excellence rooms
These are just a few examples from the EMCO Center of Excellence package of measures.
