Emeritus Senior Living In 1993, Emeritus began offering an alternative to seniors who could no longer live at home, yet did not require full-time skilled nursing home care. Since then, Emeritus has grown to become a leader in the assisted living industry, with one of the largest networks of assisted living, retirement and Alzheimer’s care communities in North America. Our primary goal is to provide the support residents need to live full and satisfying lives, while helping them maintain their independence and dignity. Each of our communities operates like a family-owned business. This gives our staff the flexibility to customize independent living programs and assisted living services to reflect resident’s individual needs and interests. Alzheimer’s and Dementia *
As we get older, many of us naturally need a helping hand– perhaps someone to help us get ready for the day, help manage our medications or prepare special meals. Sometimes that extra help is all we need to continue living safely on our own.
Some residents require even more assistance due to Alzheimer’s, dementia or other memory loss disorders. For these seniors, we offer an innovative program called Join Their Journey®. The premise is simple: Our specially trained staff joins residents in their moment, rather than trying to bring them into our reality. Our goal is to get to know each resident and his or her family, so that we can offer the right support for every stage of the disease process. Through this approach, we recognize individuality, encourage choices and help residents maintain their dignity by creating a safe, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.
Quality care for quality of life
Emeritus communities offer all the extra help you may need, but only when and if you need it. Our full range of assisted living services are designed to help you maintain or improve your health, so you can live as independently as possible. To ensure we meet individual needs, we use a state-of-the-art computerized assessment system, called the Vigilan Resident Evaluation Program, which helps us accurately evaluate, predict and monitor the appropriate assisted living services for each resident.

If you want to experience living at an Emeritus community before making a permanent move, or you’re being discharged from a hospital or nursing care facility and aren’t quite ready to go home–consider short-stay respite care. You’ll receive the same services all residents enjoy in a fully furnished apartment–home-cooked meals, scheduled transportation, customized assisted living services and more. Short-stay respite is also a great option should you need a temporary place to live while a caregiver enjoys a well-deserved break.

Perhaps you would love to live at an Emeritus Senior Living community, but you’re concerned about your budget. Or maybe you no longer want to live alone. Either way, we offer the perfect solution–friendship suites. Seniors are brought together to share a common apartment and cost savings, while receiving the same personalized attention, outstanding services and amenities that all residents enjoy.
Senior Day Program * A day with friends and fun
If you are living on your own or with family, you can also choose to spend the day with us through our structured senior day care program. Just as with full-time residents, our professional staff will work closely with you, your family members and physician to create an individualized care plan tailored to your needs. At the same time, you’ll meet new people and enjoy meaningful activities that enrich your life.
