The plan provides generous circulation space throughout the store. The display cases are unique and highlight the produce and products.

PRODUCE AREA Provides centralized location for all fruits and vegetables, along with informational banners about the local farms that provide the produce. The space is well lit from the windows and in view from the street.



CAFE AREA Provides a relaxing atmosphere and a gathering space with cafe food and drinks. It also attracts customers who are not familiar with The Local and allows them to experience the store.



BAKERY AND TEACHING KITCHEN The bakery provides customers with fresh baked goods, while the teaching kitchen allows customers to take cooking classes and learn more about local and organic foods.

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN This is the conceptual design for Syracuse University’s Visual and Performing Arts gallery and store. The three components are a cash wrap, wall display and light fixture.
