Em’s Entries
Christmas is coming and winter break is right around the corner!!! Get excited!! Thanks to all of you who came to my November DCM!! I had lots of fun playing icebreakers with everyone and teaching you guys how to dance ;) Here are a few reminders for this month: ➢ Remember to send in dues. Cinco Ranch and Cypress Ranch are the only two clubs that have paid. If you want to be eligible to attend DCON this April, pay your dues before you leave for winter break!! ➢ Our December DCM will be an ice skating social with Division 3N! Look forward to participating in a white elephant gift exchange! To participate, your gift must be at least $5. ➢ DIVISIONAL T-SHIRTS WILL BE $18!!! FILL OUT THE ORDER FORM I SENT OUT IN MY EMAIL TO ORDER!!!! Check out the events page for pictures from our November DCM! Reminders Monthly Reports: Monthly reports are due every 5th of the month, with the exception of when it falls on a Sunday(then, they are due the next day). ❖ Please mail a physical copy to District Secretary, Shelby Morton(shelbymorton00@gmail.com): 4104 San Angelo Amarillo, TX 79118 ❖ Email a copy to me, our Regional Advisor, Ms. Judy Pomorski, Sabrina Palma, Megan Iselin, and either Mr. George Crowl or Mr. Steve Peters.
Newsletters and Articles: Just like Monthly Reports, newsletters and articles are also due on the 5th of every month(with the same exceptions). ❖ You can send up to 10 articles each month, and articles must have at least 400 words and one picture. ❖ Please send your articles and newsletters to our District Editor, Stephanie Tran (stephanietran.kc@gmail.com). ❖ Don’t forget to email a copy to me, our Regional Advisor, Ms. Judy Pomorski, Megan Iselin, Sabrina Palma, and either Mr. George Crowl or Mr. Steve Peters.

Month Recap Thanks to all of you who came out to my November DCM for some fun during Thanksgiving break! If you had any type of Thanksgiving service project, event, and/or social, please send all of your pictures my way!! Upcoming: Our December DCM will be on the 23rd and it will be joint with 3N! Information on the upcoming DEC for the election of next year’s 3W Lieutenant Governor will be sent out shortly so be on the lookout for that!

Key Leader Keep your calendars available for new date for Key Leader in February! Key Leader guarantees you a weekend filled with leadership, learning, service, and, most importantly, FUN! This weekend retreat includes team building activities, group discussions, workshops, and more!

The Halo Movement Key Clubbers, the HALO Movement application has closed for this semester.The applications will be voted publicly on beginning on December 4th. The top ten (10) clubs will be reviewed by the International Committee for YOF and will receive appropriate funding. Just as a reminder, there will be another round of HALO Movement grants during the spring season-- just in time for DCON season!

Five Ways To Be a Better Friend We know you love your friends. But sometimes it’s easy to take them for granted. A few simple steps can keep you connected and strengthen your bond. (for more tips on mental health, visit keyclub.org/ for more information) Listen: Sometimes your friends just need an ear to listen. Taking time to fully process what the person is saying before jumping in to offer advice can help you better understand their perspective and challenges. Say “Thank You”: These two words can be the most impactful and meaningful to a friendship. Let them know how much their friendship means to you. Be Present: When you spend time with your friends, put away your phone and focus on the now. Know When to Say “Sorry”: It’s hard to admit when you are wrong, but a friendship is worth it. When you say it, mean it.
