Landscape Planning and Design for Riverside Park of Dujiangyan City Scheme design is located in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province, designed base address at the daybreak community, is on the left side of the Minjiang River, which lies in the northwest of the city of Dujiangyan, land form as the riverside plains, flat terrain, traffic in this area is smooth and convenient, so the main entrance of the park is built on the bypass pointing south
Background knowledge Dujiangyan is a county-level city in Dujiangyan, named after the water conservancy project, known as the "Tianfu source". The city covers an area of 1207 square kilometers, according to the 2012 population of 650000. A humid subtropical climate, annual average temperature of 15.2 degrees, with an average annual rainfall of nearly 1200 mm, annual average frost free period of 280 days. Four seasons here, no hot weather In the mountainous and hilly area of Dujiangyan 65.79%, Pingba area accounting for 34.21%. The city of Dujiangyan in geological tectonic system, belong to the Cathaysian tectonic system. Suffered 8.0 earthquake in 2008, the city most of the damaged, but has been rebuilt after . This target design project is far from city center, and there are certain local villagers making free land r eclamation to grow crops, the proportion in the whole plant is 10% of rice, 10% of corns, 30% of rape flower, and 5% of wheat, which are the main economic crops in Sichuan Province.

The red area is design area. Should pay attention to elevationof the mountains during design, for this city was affected by the earthquake in 2008. The red area has gentle terrain, and has a certain distance to high mountains, so trees and plant group are used against landslides
Besides all the above corps, there are precocious gramineous plants (Phragmites australis), 3 types of ferns, climbing plants (morning glory) and 5 types of arbors
Flood level analysis
The design area is close to the Minjiang River, and local government has made the analysis and design of flood level, it consists of common level, and levels of ten, twenty and fifty years' frequency. The government combined the fending groin, the revetment span is 5 meters wide to ensure the security of the bank line land and residents, but the water area is reducing year by year, soil erosion is severe, between 1995 and 2015, the flood level remains at the twenty years' frequency, and this information is helpful in later modification and design, and in bringing in the concept of ecological restoration of the riparian zone.

The goal of the design
Materials
Considering the sustainable development of environment, economy and society, in order to provide a 'sponge' train theme park. Design should has its own style and be in accordance with local culture, it's not just a simple combination of reinforced concrete; integrated humanistic features, let the quiet, simple, natural way of life no longer exists only in our dreams; make reasonable planning and design with the analysis of site advantages and disadvantages. Use train elements to form a rich visual space and to echo the theme.
By analyzing the park ground paving, putnatural stones together with the same color to combine geometrical elements and train track shape, besides, use transparent concrete as the main material of the outer wall in order for the light to shine through and make a dreamy color effects, moreover, the natural light can also reduce the use of indoor lighting, which is good for saving energy.
Through integrating, reconstructing and building, we can build a park setting sightseeing, leisure, sport, entertainment and culture into one, and provide surrounding residents a place for communicating with nature and relaxing body and mind, also for the beginning of creating a sponge city.

It means a city is like a sponge, it has good "elasticity" to adapt to environmental changes and natural disasters; it has the function of water absorption, water storage, water seepage and water purification when it rains, and also water release when necessary Through the investigation of the city during rainy season, when it rains for two consecutive days, there will be inland inundation ,and then traffic paralyzed, houses flooded and people trapped. Most of the cities in China have met the problems, so this scheme is used as the start of building a sponge city.
The construction should follow the principle of ecological priority, combines the natural approach with artificial measures, promote the use of rainwater resources and ecological environment protection, and consider the natural precipitation, surface and groundwater system as a whole system, coordination water supply and drainage.
Design the sponge in four aspects. Firstly, as shown on the left picture, build grasseds wales, infiltration ponds, stranded penetrating green zone and rainwater garden to form a 'sponge'; use pebbles to slow down the velocity of rain to improve the efficiency of rainwater recycling
Secondly, build water penetration inspection wells to penetrate the rain, it has the function of infiltration, retention, and purification, the rainwater collected can be used to irrigate plants
Thirdly, build ecological tree wells and pools with tree perforated strainer to improve the collection and utilization of rainwater, and to increase the visual aesthetic

Program design Use train culture combining with the surrounding environment to reconstruct the park, there are four main changes, firstly add some public facilities like clinic, free watering place, rest chairs to make the park more humanized Secondly is to upgrade the whole system of the park, add landscape with more theme culture to create a rich train culture. Add more path in the park to improve tourists' viewing experience, reduce water area but increase its functionality for sightseeing and interaction both. Design a sport area like field for badminton and table tennis for urban people to release there stress. Finally is to plan grassy area and plants, keep the diversity of plants in the original park, reserve local tree species, and at the same time emphasize on the layering of different plants, make a wellspaced scene.
The elements of the path are derived from the curved mountain road and the track, which is characterized by its regularity and guidance, and is compared with the surrounding irregular plants, and this design method can show the two characteristics of the dynamic and the guidance of the train culture.

This project is a part of Raffles' west landscape zone; it is 155 meters long and 20 meters wide, with a total area of 6800 square meters; it is an important entrance landscape, also a commercial landscape.
Clear water concrete is the highest expression of the concrete; it shows the beauty of nature, and leads to a design concept called the blank design

Environmental Analysis Wind direction -01.Chengdu belongs to subtropical monsoon climate, with northerly winds throughout the year, and northeaster in the winter stream of people -02.This site has South Renmin Road on its west side, South Section 2 of 1st Ring Road on its north side, North Kehua Road on its east side, and Jinxiu Road on its south side. Transportation -03.The main stream of people come from the entrance of Raffles City, and some from the Digital Plaza and residential area on the northeast and southeast side, also some from sport area on the opposite.
