Staff may suffer strains or bruising injuries to their back or elsewhere from handling heavy or bulky object and storing them too high.

Remind staff to contact caretaker for heavy jobs and to use the trolley for moving equipment Store areas cleared and checked regularly

Contacting Infectious diseases
Staff may suffer diseases picked up from children and families coming into the setting such as sickness and diarrhoea, colds and flu and conjunctivitis. Also pregnant staff may be at risk from childhood diseases such as measles, chicken pox and slapped cheek syndrome
