Brathay Trust are currently looking for a Part Time Management Accountant

Reporting to the Head of Finance and managing two experienced Finance Officers, the Management Accountant will oversee the accounting function and financial procedures, preparing management accounts, forecasts and budgets.

If you are driven by data, have strong analytical skills, scrupulous attention to detail, and are highly organised, then we encourage you to apply.

To excel in this role, you’ll have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification or qualified by experience

• Experience of managing financial ledgers, systems and processes

• Experience of preparing management accounts and budgets

• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and the ability to manage large amounts of data

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels, including non-finance members of staff

21 hours per week, Salary £35,000-£37,000 pro-rata

Receptionist/Legal Support

We are seeking a full-time receptionist/legal support to join our small friendly team in our new Grange office. You will be working in the solicitors. The role includes meeting and greeting clients and customers, using a case management system, digital dictation, handling telephone enquiries and arranging appointments.

If you have great IT skills, are well organised and efficient, and a team player, we would love to hear from you. Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

Rehabilitation/Personal Care Assistants

We are seeking motivated energetic individuals that are happy to work flexibly supporting a charming young man with an acquired brain injury, epilepsy and complex and severe needs in his rehabilitation and daily living in a domestic environment based in Burton in Kendal. The young man requires 24/7 care support 7 days a week 365 days a year so the post holder will be expected to work on a rota basis. We aim to offer flexibility so you can gain a good work life balance and we currently offer 24/7 shifts from 10.00 am till 10.30am the next day. You can choose to take one or two of those per week the choice is yours and we pay the same rate for sleepover and day rate.

You will be part of a friendly, supportive professional team who will support you in developing your skills. All staff undertake an induction programme and are supported developmentally through in-house training and regular CPD sessions and an annual appraisal process.

Your role will be to provide a comfortable, rich, and fulfilling home and lifestyle whilst simultaneously supporting the young man in his rehabilitation and empowering him to maximize his potential and skills set. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that all candidates can swim and drive and hold a clean driving licence. We have a heated swimming pool, kitchen garden, Art Studio, and Workshop on site.
