Editor in Chief Hello to all you wives that have decided to make Empowering Wives your source of information. I am happy and honored to be given the opportunity to have captured your attention. I believe that it is by no mistake that you were drawn to glaze your eyes upon the pages of this magazine. If I may, let me take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Meltoria Woodside, I am happily married to Yocasta Woodside Sr. Whom I have been graced to have been with since high school. Together we have 3 handsome, smart, and intelligent sons Yocasta Jr, Carlisle and Mateo. In addition, I have 2 bonus sons Jermaine and Tagem. Over 10 years ago, I was faced with infidelity in my marriage. It was one of the toughest seasons of my entire life. Although I had reason and right to leave, I decided to stay and push through. Along with infidelity, I endured verbal, emotional and physical abuse.

“However, with the help of the Lord, I was able to fight through all of that, and conquer what many would consider a lost cause. Now, my husband is saved and delivered, and my family is now experiencing what I believe are some of the best days ever. In 2016 the Lord spoke to me and said, “It is time to tell your story”. Now at that time, I had not idea what He was referring to because I did not think that I had a story to tell nor worth telling. However, Holy Spirit took me back down memory lane and directed me to teach Wives how to fight. He said When Wives Fight Families win. Since 2016 to this present time, my life has been dedicated to what Holy Spirit has commissioned me to do. Since the time that I have been commissioned, I have obtained my bachelor’s degree in theology and became a certified Marriage coach. I have also written four books When Wives Fight Families Win, Fight to Win a battle plan to fight for your marriage and family, Healing and Deliverance for the broken wife and the praying wife an introduction to effective prayer. I am also an instructor at Empowering Wives Academy. The Lord has empowered me to be a resource center for wives. In 2017 I had a vision of launching a magazine, which I tried to execute at that time with no success. For a moment I felt like a failure because I was not able to get it going. However, many times since the initial vision I kept seeing this magazine. In addition to that others have mentioned seeing me create such. 2017 may be the time that the vision was given but 2021 is the year of execution. Empowering Wives Magazine is a magazine that is done for wives by wives. We will be publishing 8 issues per year with 2 issues each season!

he position of “Wife” was established from the beginning of time. When God placed the female on the earth, He placed her in the position of a “Wife”. So as a woman you must understand that you are valuable to a man, and important to the maintenance of the earth. From the beginning God not only placed you here to be alongside your husband but also together He gave us a mandate.
The Bible tells us, “[A woman] is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the coming days” (Proverbs 31:25). Without the need for a doubt, God gives women strength,

especially in our marriages. As we become wives, we become the stewards of strength. We are fully accountable for the way in which we have our power. A Christian wife is a woman with power.
She’s unfazed from those who say that anything can’t be done. Her God-given purpose and passion has a strong intent, profound compassion, and a daring spirit that has the power to change her marriage. But even a powerful woman has challenges on her path. Often her persistence and strong will cause misunderstandings and rifts in her relationships, and God is the only one that can help her resolve them. Like Proverbs 31, a good Christian wife is a woman of noble character, wisdom and courage, which she uses to lift her marriage. Here

Loves Her Husband Titus 2:4 calls for wives to “love their husbands.” A wife is called to embrace her husband as he s – an imperfect man. Since Paul tells husbands to love their wives and wives to honor their husbands in Ephesians 5:33, there are also those who believe this means that a Christian wife doesn’t have to love her spouse, and that’s not true at all. As Christians, we are commanded to love our brothers and sisters in Christ, which is especially true in marriage. When a husband and wife get married, they make a promise before God to stay together until they die. If you’re in a one-sided relationship, you’re heading for trouble.
In Proverbs 31:1031, we read about a wife of noble character. In verse 10, we discover that she’s worth more than rubies. Wives are told of their worth in Christ. Be a Woman of Noble Character In Proverbs 31:10-31, we read about a wife of noble character. In verse 10, we discover that she’s worth more than rubies. Wives are told of their worth in Christ. Then we read in verse 11 that her husband has complete faith in her. Our husbands ought to be willing to trust us, which means that we have to have our heads in the position they need to be. A wife must have the best interest of her family in sight. She lives unselfish, too. Her husband loves her and he can trust her. It is necessary for wives to be truthful with their husbands in any and all matters, to act wisely, and to seek the direction of God in all things.
Himself wrote it – not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit; not chiseled into stone but carved into human lives – and we publish it.” Christ’s wife impersonates Christ in her everyday life. She gives glory and honor to God and to her marriage. Your work ethic, your honesty and your mission are all manifestations of Christ and His love. This woman of strength and purpose is going to live her life for God, no matter what they are doing or where they work. Its aim is to raise up Christ, to represent His character and actions. If you’re a strong-willed wife, your family is going to follow you.
Cares For The Family Proverbs 31 makes it clear that the home is the primary sphere of influence and responsibility of wife. Her family is very well cared for. That is not always simple, especially with shared responsibilities and work outside the home. Women are very often stressed out and pushed to a breaking point. One way of avoiding tension is for both husbands and wives to rearrange
their objectives and follow the Bible’s directives on their positions.
Be a good companion. The Christian wife is called to be the best friend of her husband. When God put the first man, Adam, in the Garden of Eden, he said, “It is not good for a man to be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him” (Genesis 2:18). She does not even have to participate in any activity her husband takes part in, but she does enjoy the time she shares with him. A married couple is having a lot of fun, enjoying the time they spend together. A Christian wife is a woman of strength and purpose who leads a life of honesty. If you live all out for God, your motivations and acts will be in line with His Word. If you are a wife, representing these values, you have the foundation for a rock solid marriage. Take stock of the power that God has given you. The Lord has clothed you with power, and in your marriage, you can use it for good. Never silence your strength. Use them to the glory of God, and also to make your marriage stronger.
Be Clothed in Strength and Dignity Proverbs 31 also shares that a biblical wife is clothed in strength and dignity. Wives are also responsible for managing multiple activities in and around the house. They can be a homemaker, a full-time employee, and they can also maintain relationships with other people outside the family. Their plates are full, and yet they still depend on the Lord’s power to raise them up. In the end, she’s wise. Her power and wisdom spill out, and it influences those who are in her care.
Imitate Christ Second Corinthians 3:3 tells us, “Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ

To say this year has been tumultuous is a great understatement;
bankruptcy, moving, living with my mother-n-law, experiencing a fourth miscarriage and testing positive for Coronavirus, I’ll be glad to see the clock strike midnight on December 31st. We are blessed to have our one miracle child, but experiencing this kind of tragedy four times in a lifetime would be traumatizing for anyone. We have managed to maintain our sanity, marriage, careers, and businesses despite the challenges that have been thrown our way. This year alone has taught me resilience, determination, focus and most importantly how to love and appreciate the people that love and appreciate you. My responsibilities as a wife, as a mother and as a full time entrepreneur no longer feel like neverending obligations but are now Godgiven opportunities for me to love life, seek wisdom and thrive while I become the woman God is called me to be”.

MELINDA WALKER Melinda became certified as a purpose life coach, happiness coach, and a health and wellness coach all in June of 2017.

elinda Walker, widely known as “Lynn” she was born and raised in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She is the youngest daughter out of two girls. She graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1991 and completed two years of college. Later, she moved to Mississippi. She is the proud mother of 3 children and has been married to her husband for 27 years. Melinda’s life purpose is spreading the good news of Jesus Christ as an Evangelist. She was a speaker on WJDR 98.3 for over a decade prior to them closing their doors in 2018. Melinda co-authored a book on March 27, 2017. She is the spiritual compiler of 2 anthologies: Breathe and Right When The Caterpillar Thought Her Life Was Over, She Became A Butterfly. Melinda wrote her own book and released it July 31, 2020. Melinda had the opportunity to ghost write an entire book in 90 days. Melinda became certified as a purpose life coach, happiness coach, and a health and wellness coach all in June of 2017. I am a native of Southeast Alabama. I am a wife, mother, outreach ministry leader, artist, author, & entrepreneur. As a wife to one loving and supportive husband for over 5 years; I placed God first in my marriage and chose to put in the work that it takes to maintain a strong, loving, & healthy marriage. As a mother, I cover my child with daily prayer, and I strived to be aware and intentional about my parenting style and behaviors. Being a wife and mother has its challenges, but when God is the head and center of it all, it becomes easier and very rewarding. Growing up, I was a very sensitive child. When I say, “sensitive”, I mean to my surroundings, inner thoughts, people’s intents, moods, and motives. The feelings felt very strange, and I did not understand it. As a result, I felt insecure and a bit weird at times. This “sensitivity”, caused me to be drawn to the things of God. Over the years, I started to discern God’s voice clearly, and with every spiritual nudge that He gave me, it led me to gain more knowledge and understanding of who He is. One of the ways I gained more knowledge and understanding was studying to receive my B.S. Degree in Biblical Studies and Theology,

which opened the opportunity to teach in an accredited Bible College for over 3 years. I taught partitioners, laymen, licensed ministers, and Church leaders. God has graced me to be able to serve in many ministry leadership roles over the years, such as worship leader, assistant church administrator, women’s ministry leader, & intercessory prayer leader. In every role, I learned a lot about God and myself. Those roles produced levels of growth in me that are irreversible. After many years of serving in ministry, my community, & teaching, I stepped away for a while to seek God’s direction for the next phase of my life. After some time, I received the direction that I was looking for, which lead me into a new journey and purpose. And that purpose was to educate, equip and empower individuals so that they will be able to move forward into the lives that God has for them. The first way I started this new purpose was by starting my nonprofit, Kim P. Carroll Ministries Inc. Through this ministry, we have helped over 100 families in the areas of finance, parenting, home ownership, & entrepreneurship. We also host an Annual Christmas Blessing event to help families in
need during the holiday season. Serving in this capacity has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I also work alongside my husband in business, which has been a challenging personal growth experience. He is the owner of a construction & masonry company. I am the owner of two online businesses: KimmyTees and Accessories Boutique and Kimmy’s Art Gal. We have very different types of businesses, but we make an effort to support and help the other person to be successful. Our motto is when one of us succeeds, we both succeed. As entrepreneurs, we endeavor to bring our love for God, family, and helping others into everything that we do. We strive to build a better life for ourselves, family, and others. When I said yes to God’s call on my life, I had no idea what path or how many directions it would take me on. To venture into the unknown can be scary, but if you never take the leap, you will never know who you are, who God is, or what you can do. So, I decided to take the leap again by becoming a Certified Nutrition Educator. Initially, it was not my desire, but God led me to it. I believe wholeheartedly that He led me there because of my own struggles with
health. When I began to understand basic nutrition and how it contributes to overall health and wellness, I immediately became conscious of all the foods that I put in my body. I started to make healthier choices for myself and my family, and now I teach people in my community how to do the same. As a contributor to this amazing magazine, I will make sure to provide everyone with up-to-date Health and Wellness information that will help to transform your lives from the inside out. I know that you have heard many times that, “it’s a lifestyle change not a diet”. That statement is very true. Health and Wellness is not all about body size or weight. TANYA DEFERITAS www.tanyadeferitas.com My name is Tanya. I have been married four years to my husband, Rafael, and together we have three children. This is my second marriage. I am a California native. I grew up in Southern California and graduated from high school in Los Angeles, California. I met my husband in 2016 while training for a new job in Florida. After a date lasting more than 14 hours, we prayed together, and we were inseparable from that point on. My husband, Rafael, relocated from Florida to California to marry me. It seemed impossible to easily bring our families together from two sides of the United States. So, within six months of meeting, after getting permission from my grandfather and mother, we eloped in Las Vegas, Nevada. Making our home in California, we initially experienced marital bliss. It wasn’t long before real life happened, and challenges arose. I had to put my faith to work and apply prayer as a regular antidote in my marriage in order to not give up or lose hope. Prior to getting married to Rafael, I was a single mother for nearly 18 years. I experienced all sorts of struggle throughout the duration, including welfare, domestic violence, and divorce. Upon entering a new union and partnership, I had to unlearn some of the independence I worked so hard to gain and it was no easy task, yet the journey would be one to strengthen my walk with God. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at a young age. I was baptized as a young girl, again as a teenager, and later as an adult, in effort to recommit myself

to God. I have a gift of faith that has often been labeled radical and stupid. The truth is, I simply take God at His word. I have a deep, heartfelt passion for marriage, and I enjoy offering hope, inspiration, and encouragement to wives. In 2018, I created Love Wins Publishing and I became a self-published author. I believe God gave me the name of the company, Love Wins, after my husband and I returned from a marriage retreat that changed our lives. It is my belief that because the Bible says love covers, love conquers, and love never fails, then in the end and always LOVE WINS!
I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at a young age. I was baptized as a young girl, again as a teenager, and later as an adult, in effort to recommit myself to God.
I currently serve as an author, publisher, speaker, writing coach, & anthologist. Writing is a gift I have and use to express my own and the heart of God based on my knowledge, experience, and understanding. I am a compassionate, Godfearing woman who has been writing since I was a little girl. I write without inhibition and my words are often firm, crisp, yet appetizing, beneficial, and inspirational. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and I am pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Marriage & Family Therapy. My heart is after God’s own heart concerning marriage. I have been named the Silent Warrior in my quest to pray & fight for marriage.

“The health of the family ultimately lies in the hands of the cook.” This is the statement that The Lord dropped in my spirit concerning diet. He was calling me to change my family’s diet. My family once ate the Standard American Diet. The acronym of which appropriately spells SAD. I cooked everyday but we also ate from fast food restaurants when we were out. I
depended on the convenience of instant oatmeal and juice boxes. I thought we were doing pretty well but I was slowly learning the truth. We were not eating healthy at all. Sugar, Artificial dyes and chemical additives; genetically modified produce and meats from animals raised on unnatural diets that included hormones and antibiotics. I would hear new information about the American food supply all the time- information about foods that promote diseases such as the dreaded cancers. I learned about how sugar was in foods that didn’t even taste sweet. It was overwhelming. I simply was not ready to deal with the reality of what was happening to our bodies every time we ate something that was toxic. Over a period of years, the Lord took me down a path of knowledge, wisdom and correction. I must admit. I did not make changes immediately upon learning things. It was overwhelming to me. Avoiding toxic foods seemed impossible. I simply did not have enough money to buy superior foods. I didn’t know where to start so I did nothing.

More and more I felt lead to do better. I began to feel guilty every time we ate something that I knew we should not have. I just put it all in the hands of the Lord. The Lord taught me to change my entire way of thinking about food. Romans 12:1-2 tells us two things that we can apply to our diets. 1. We are to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God 2. We are not to conform to the ways of the world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We apply this scripture to many areas of our lives but many of us forget about what we eat. The Lord has demanded a living sacrifice. He wants the best. Under the law He demanded the best animal to be offered up to Him. He would not accept a sickly little goat or a ram with a limp. No! He wanted the best because it had to be a sacrifice. They had to give up something precious and valuable. Now that Jesus has fulfilled the law and offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice, we no longer have to offer up blood sacrifices. We are to offer up ourselves as living sacrifices. If God wanted a healthy animal, surely, He wants a healthy human being. We are to sacrifice our desires for rich foods, convenience foods and overindulgences. We are to present ourselves to the Most High God as hydrated, nourished and full of energy. He wants to use us in a mighty way, but we are unfit for service. We fail to realize that our poor diets are having a negative effect on our relationship with the Lord. I used to have a difficult time connecting to God in prayer. I would begin to pray and my mind would drift. I couldn’t seem to focus on what I was petitioning the Lord for. My brain was foggy. It was like my prayers weren’t getting past the ceiling. I didn’t understand why it was so difficult for me to pray. I blamed it on the enemy trying to distract me. I later learned that it was my diet. High levels of sugar can put your brain in a fog. When your body is not expelling waste as it should, toxins build up in your body. Those toxins cause you to be sluggish and unable to focus. Since I have changed
my diet, I do not have that problem. When I pray it’s like picking up where I left off and not trying to fight my way back into His presence. I have had sickness in my body that I asked the Lord to heal me of. I struggled for years not understanding why He had not yet healed me. I fasted regarding the issue. Nothing happened. I prayed “By your stripes we were healed”. I reminded God that He was a healer. I said, “John 14:14-You said whatsoever ye shall ask in my name I shall do it. Do it God!” All along I her the softest, deepest, most gentle, yet, firm statement in my spirit. “Change your diet”, He said. We don’t serve a God of temporary fixes. When you ask Him for healing, He does not just cure symptoms. He reaches down to the depth of the brokenness and fixes the real issue. So, He’s saying forget about the sickness and let’s look at your diet. Better, yet, let’s renew your mind concerning food and nourishment. He wants His people to enjoy the variety of foods that He has created but He never intended for us to destroy ourselves with it. God is telling us to stop letting food impede our relationship with him. We waste our money, overindulge, destroy our bodies then we can’t connect with Him or be used by Him. This sounds like an idol to me. We must change. I had already had the knowledge so when I began to say “yes, Lord”, He started moving in my life. I was healed of my rebellion and refusal to give up what I liked and the outward manifestation was healing in my body. I am changed forever. Now, if I have a slip up or I try to return back to my old ways I get sick in that hour. I actually began repenting for eating things that I know I should not eat. Additionally, I feel guilt, shame and defeat because I know better. Now, I say to myself all the time,” it’s not worth it”. Don’t get me wrong, I have not arrived. My diet is far from perfect, but the difference is my heart. I desire to eat the way that the Lord would have me to. I am willing to make those hard changes. For those reasons the Lord sends me people to teach
me, resources to help me, wisdom to manage it all followed by the money to finance it. Maintaining a good diet is not always convenient. My mind has been renewed so convenience is no longer my first priority. I have gone as far as taking all of my children in a grocery store to get fresh food to avoid buying fast food. It was hard doing that so I began to take planning seriously. I invested in materials necessary to take food on the road. I purposefully plan to buy foods that keep well and are easy to transport. However, convenience does not supersede health. So, sugary drinks were replaced by water; chips were replaced by nuts; apples and oranges reclaimed their rightful position as fruit snacks. God has brought me from a

Not easily, but simply. You shall speak to that mountain and it shall be removed. All you have to do is say, “Yes, Lord.” Accept teaching from the people who He has sent you. Manage your finances wisely so that you can afford better foods.
It’s more than just buying the organic version of your current diet. An organic label does not negate the sugary content of the imposter fruit snacks. You can grow your own potatoes and press your own oil but too many French fries will still grow that belly. It’s about doing away with all that you have done and re-engineering your diet. First you need a system that will support the new kingdom diet. This system includes budgeting, meal planning and overall kitchen organization. I have a culinary degree and I am a chef. I worked in commercial kitchens long before I knew that the Lord had actually called me to help people in their home kitchens. Since the Lord taught me so much through my own struggles at home, He is using me to share the information. MOROCCAN FISH WITH MANGO & COUSCOUS
While many white fish recipes tend to taste unoriginal or bland, this rendition calls for spices like cumin and ground coriander, which inject the dish with exotic Moroccan-inspired flavor. Ripe chunks of mango and wholewheat couscous round it out and, as a bonus, lend tons of wholesome fiber.
Makes 3-4 servings.

1 c. dried whole-wheat pearl couscous 1 lb. fresh wild-caught white fish Salt and pepper 1 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. ground coriander 1 1/2 tbsp. butter 1 ripe, soft mango, peeled and diced 1/2 c. fresh cilantro, chopped + extra for garnish 2 tsp. fresh-squeezed lime juice 1/4 tsp. salt 3 garlic cloves, minced 1 boneless beef chuck roast (3 pounds) 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup butter, cubed 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
Cook couscous according to package directions. The “pearl” version usually takes about 8-10 minutes to cook. In a small bowl combine the cumin, chili powder, coriander, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Evenly rub the spice mixture on all sides of the fish and set aside (in the fridge if you’d like). Peel, core, and dice the mango. Chop the cilantro into small pieces. Put the mango, cilantro, and lime juice together in a medium-sized bowl and set aside. Heat the butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the seasoned fish to the pan and cook on both sides until it’s white all the way through. For thinner pieces this might only take a few minutes. Once the couscous is done transfer it to the bowl with the mango, cilantro, and lime. Add 1/4 tsp. salt and mix together thoroughly. Divide the couscous mixture evenly among plates. Top with pieces of fish and extra pieces of cilantro. Serve warm with a salad or vegetable on the side and enjoy.

3 tablespoons butter, divided 4 medium carrots, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 1 medium sweet red pepper, chopped 1 cup sliced baby portobello mushrooms 2 cans (5 ounces each) albacore white tuna in water, drained and flaked 2 cups fresh baby spinach 1 cup frozen peas 3 cups uncooked spiral pasta 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 2/3 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth 1/3 cup half-and-half cream 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese 3/4 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Add carrots, onion, red pepper and mushrooms. Cook and stir until tender, 8-10 minutes. Add tuna, spinach and peas; cook until spinach is just wilted, 2-3 minutes. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions for al dente. Drain pasta, reserving 1 cup pasta water. In a large bowl, place pasta and tuna mixture; toss to combine. Wipe skillet clean. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth; gradually whisk in broth and cream. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; cook and stir until thickened, 1-2 minutes, adding reserved pasta water if needed. PAN-FRIED TROUT WITH GARLIC AND LEMON This recipe for pan-fried trout uses simple ingredients—garlic, lemon juice, and a little butter—to let the subtle flavor of this delicious fish shine through. All the fillets need are buttery mashed potatoes and roasted cherry tomatoes for a stellar meal. Luckily, the two sides are included in this recipe, creating a perfect dinner for two.
Makes 3-4 servings.
INGREDIENTS For the Tomatoes: • • • •

Fry the fish, skin side down, in the skillet for 5 minutes. 3. Turn the fillets over and fry for 2 minutes. Turn them over—skin side down again—and turn off the heat. 4. Squeeze 2 tablespoons lemon juice over the fillets and add 2 teaspoons butter. Sprinkle on 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley. Adjust the seasonings with salt and pepper. 5. Plate the fish with the sides of mashed potatoes and roasted tomatoes. 6. Serve and enjoy!
Tips
Pay attention to the timing needed to cook each of the three elements so they're all done at about the same time. Start with the tomatoes, but get your potato water boiling right away, too. About 5 minutes before those are done, begin warming up your skillet. Keep both warm while you finish the trout. • If you want to fire up the grill, you can make this meal with a couple of adaptations. Either make the mashed potatoes in the house or grill the potatoes rather than mashing them. You can also skewer cherry tomatoes or grill large tomatoes directly on the grate. • Bring more flavor to the trout by adding 1 teaspoon of onion powder and a few fresh sprigs of dill. A pinch of paprika is also a nice touch for trout.

The Spirit, The Body, The Soul
T
oday, we otherwise healthy women could find ourselves exhausted at the end of the day. Sometimes, we are asked to do more with less, to give more than we have, and to build more than is actually needed. The twenty-four hours of each day clearly do not suffice between what is expected of us and what we expect of ourselves. It seems like there’s so little left at the end of the day to help us recover, and for most of us, slowing down is not a choice. What is the answer, then? Most women practice what used to be called Holistic Wellbeing or Alternative Medicine, which is now called Complementary and Integrative Medicine. Similar symptoms of fatigue are identified by both stay-athome wives/moms who manage major companies. The experiences and emotions that women report are the same no matter how they spend their days. Their bodies and minds appear to be in constant overdrive, and they are overwhelmed. It doesn’t need to be like this.
The spirit Few persons, since they are born spiritually dead, are conscious of the faculties of the spirit (which are conscience and communication with God). As far as the almighty is concerned, your soul was basically dead before you embraced Christ and got baptized. God has “quickened” the spirit, then. (Ezekiel 36:26 and John 3:5 as well) Communication with God, conscience and intuition are the faculties of the human spirit. A nagging conscience, or when God is attempting to call them, is about the only contact with God with which unbelievers have experience. It’s like that. Their insight will be sharpened as a believer matures. Some people would not pass, such as the late Watchman Nee, until he learned from the Holy Spirit. Other than us, to get our attention, God has to use a baseball bat. (Speaking figuratively, of course)
By simply paying attention to the three fundamental areas of our wellbeing, any woman can equip herself with what she needs to handle the demands, responsibilities and commitments that fill her days and nights, no matter how busy she is or how much money she has in her checking account. Those three fields include: • Soul (Mind the will and the emotions) • Body (Physical being our connection to the earth) • Spirit (Supernatural being our connection to the spirit realm)
The soul Your mind, will, and emotions are the soul. “These are the abilities of your soul. Your “self” (Joyce Meyer likes to say, “I want, I think, I feel.”). The bible says that we must work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Salvation is deliverance, deliverance is the process of cleaning out the soul.

Two distinct elements of human nature are contributed by Spirit and Soul. While the soul gives us our virtues, the spirit creates our passions. Another basic truth is that the driving force of human nature is the spirit. And the soul serves the characteristic feature that our humanity preeminently constitutes. The supreme role of both spirit and soul is that our divine nature is reflected. And when we ignore the higher portion of our existence, we thwart or prohibit our progressive passage through life. This ultimately adds to constant struggles with the challenges, hardships and frustrations of life.

It is so necessary for wives to awaken to their highest selves and the incredible creative forces that reside inside them and to realize that it is more than getting a lot of assets, a physically fit body and great relationships to succeed in life. Thriving is an experience of spirituality. It’s understanding who you are and why this is where you are. Know that you are not too broken that you cannot be repaired. Understand that to be happy and safe, you must abide under the shadow of the almighty. Strive to be physically, mentally and spiritually well. In the 21st century, this is certainly where we are headed. It is our destiny to

succeed in our lives on all levels and in all respects. And it is up to us in our lives to initiate this development. Everyone has it at their disposal and it is time.
CARE OF THE SPIRIT, BODY AND SOUL One way to understand it is that we have a material body and an immaterial spirit. We can think of the mind and the “soul” as one object and the “spirit” as another. People suggest our immaterial nature has two distinct components – a soul and a spirit. It is a tripartite view. We prefer to lean towards those who hold a tripartite view and the following is my interpretation of our spirit, soul and body. We are very complex creatures fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord. We are all effected by the tension that life gives us. The repeated mental stress of daily life causes our bodies to break down. Our values and attitudes will be decided in large part by our religion. How we think will affect our emotions and feelings, and our emotions and feelings will have an effect on our behaviors. We are influenced by our thinking patterns on our mental and physical wellbeing. However, we are to take control of our thoughts, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthythink about such things Here are some ways to take care of the mind, soul and body
Take care of your body. You are a transient resident of a physical body. You should take care of your body to stop hurting it. The most critical part of your treatment is maintaining a balanced interaction with the possibilities of physical health. Be sure to rotate your body every day
Practice gratitude. A perfect way to communicate is to express gratitude. Gratitude helps you make life’s ups and downs more resilient. If you’re less reactive, you can remain more linked to Source. A perfect way to practice appreciation is waking up in the morning. Sometimes, the first thoughts when you awake are messages from your soul. When you start waking up, note your thoughts and take a moment to write them down as they come to you. Then say “thank you Lord for waking me up”. When you’re out of bed, stand in front of the mirror, scan your body, and say, “Thank you Lord for health and strength or I am fearfully and wonderfully made by the Most High God” This is a perfect way to understand the bond between your body and soul and remember to treat them with compassion and kindness during the day.

Limit sugar and grains. And be sure to feed your body with supplements as needed, including good multivitamin / mineral, iodine.
Own your story. Owning your story gives you the strength to turn your guilt into believing in yourself in order to reconnect with your true self. Usually, shame is transferred from generation to generation as suggested laws and regulations. Stepping out of your shamed role––victim, persecutor, rescuer––is important for physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
Start by recognizing what you need, and take action to implement your needs. This will help break the shame-based blame/guilt knot. For example, if you usually don’t allow some time for yourself and your everyday needs.
Say affirmations. For several purposes, affirmations may be included, like coming into agreement to who God has created you to be. One affirmation you could say is “I am blessed, I am the righteousness of God, I am anointed, I am seated in heavenly places.” The bible declares that you shall decree a thing and it shall be established for you. You may not believe all of this as you begin to affirm yourself but if you be consistent in making the declarations eventually you will believe what you have said.
Call it to pray, speak to God, or whatever you want to call it, but asking the Lord for guidance will help you settle your soul’s signs and messages and direct you to live your reality. Asking for help isn’t hard and doing this often will help you feel more secure knowing what messages come from the Lord. The Lord told us that if we call unto Him, He will answer and show us great and mighty things that we do not know. It will also help in cases you are not sure how to deal with something.
Build your Spirit. Take time to feed your spirit man. Feeding your spirit man is just as important as feeding and nurturing your physical being. Prayer, Fasting, Worship and meditating on the word of God will help you to tend to your spirit man. When you take care of your spirit your soul and your body, you will find that living in this world of trials and chaos will be more manageable.
