The Atlanta Opera and Atlanta Ballet have announced their 2022-2023 seasons at Cobb Energy Performing Centre and subscriptions are on sale now. ArtsBridge Foundation hosts their Overture Gala in conjunction with ABBA The Concert on Friday, August 5 to raise funds to continue its mission of arts education. Nick Panter was named Executive Chef at the Cobb Galleria Centre and Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in June 2022. Panter joined the culinary team in 2015 as Chef de Cuisine and has been promoted throughout his tenure to Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef. As Executive Chef, Panter will oversee the entire kitchen and stewarding operation at both venues. We are pleased to welcome our new house manager, Amanda Wilkins to the Centre. Samit & Mita Roy and Sid & Elisa Roy of Scicom Infrastructure Services will chair this annual event, held to raise financial aid subsidy for arts education programming for K-12 Georgia students. The Event Chair is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of information technology, Mistress of Ceremonies: Monica Pearson operations, and business management. His career began with the City of Atlanta under the tutelage of Mayor Maynard H. Jackson and he rose through the ranks to become the City’s Chief Information Officer. From there, he held several positions at Unisys and Apple Computers, Far East before founding Scicom Infrastructure Services, where his son Sid serves as the company’s EVP of Operations & Client Support. Valerie Jackson, Former First Lady of Atlanta and Member, Atlanta Restaurant Partners, LLC will serve as the event’s Honorary Chair, and 33+ award-winning media personality, Monica Pearson, will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies. Tim Allen continues to perform stand-up shows to sold-out crowds across the country. He honed his talents as a stand-up comic throughout the eighties, providing the perfect lead-in to his highly successful ABC television series Home Improvement where he garnered a Golden Globe Award, an Emmy nomination, and was honored with the People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Male Performer in a Television Series” for an unprecedented eight years in a row.

(G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yu qi, Shuhua) hold their first ever world tour that includes 8 major cities in the US. Following the enormous success of HEILUNG’s sold out appearance at the historic Red Rocks venue in Denver, Colorado in October 2021, the enigmatic world music collective is now announcing their return to North America! The first ceremony will take place on the evening of August 26 in Atlanta, Georgia. HEILUNG’s ritual is neither a performance nor a concert; it is a fully immersive ceremony that connects its listeners with the elements of nature through music, dance, and spirituality. This show is 18+.

GOOGOOSH TWENTY ONE THE WORLD TOUR August 27 8:30 p.m.
Googoosh, is an Iranian singer and actress. She is known for her contributions to Iranian pop music, but also starred in a variety of movies. She achieved the pinnacle of her fame and success towards the end of the 1970s. Her overall impact and contributions to Persian pop-music earned her the title of the most iconic female pop-singer from Iran . She has recorded songs in Persian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, Arabic, English, French, Italian and Spanish. She is performing at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on August 27, 2022. This will be her final appearance in Atlanta.

Beres Hammond is a Jamaican reggae singer known in particular for his lovers rock music. While his career began in the 1970s, he reached his greatest success in the 1990s. Hammond formed his own record label, Harmony Records, in 1985 and has had the chart-toppers Groovy Little Thing, What One Dance Can Do, Settling Down, Tempted to Touch, Is This a Sign, Respect to You Baby, and many more.

Emergency information: In the event of an emergency, please locate the nearest usher who will direct you to the appropriate exit. Elevators: Elevators are located on each side of the lobbies on all levels. Lost and found: Items are turned into the Synovus Box Office on the day of a performance. To inquire about a lost item, please call Public Safety at 770.916.2911. Parking: PREPAID PARKING AVAILABLE. Cobb Energy Centre offers prepaid parking for performances. On each performance page on the Cobb Energy Centre website there is now a button to purchase parking in advance for $17.85 Day of parking is still available for $15 (credit or debit card only). There are 1,000 on-site parking spaces; 700 in a four-level deck and 300 more in a surface lot. $15 day of park fee; $17.85 prepay option.

Central to our commitment to patron health and safety is a staff member who is certified in infection mitigation to oversee our program and ensure adherence to these protocols. Mobility-impaired patrons may use any of our restrooms. Smoking: Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes are prohibited inside the building. However, there are times when traffic or weather problems cause late arrivals. Latecomers may watch the beginning of a show on flat-screen TVs in our lobby until the theatre has reopened to allow guests into the auditorium. In addition, touring companies set the policy for allowing those who arrive past curtain time into the theatre. We ask late patrons to wait until the approved time and we reopen the theatre doors.
