SA·KE THE PURPOSE FOR DOING SOMETHING

The first two letters of SADIA and KELLY form the word SAKE or SA.KE

sake1 /seɪk/ noun

noun: sake; noun: Sake means the purpose for doing something. “for old times’ sake” — in memory of former times; in acknowledgement of a shared past.

As denim holds memory through wear over time, and we believe in doing things with a purpose, SAKE is a fitting sentiment for this collaboration.

The denim will be made with either CIRCULOSE®, Marmara Hemp® , TENCEL™, waterless ZLD, Organic and Regenerative Cotton and chemicals from Officina+39.

THE PROJECT BRIEF To produce creative artworks using Tonello innovations.

He r c re a t i ve j o u r n e y b e g a n a s a n a p p a re l g ra p h i c d e s i g n e r, contributing to global brands with hand-painted illustrations on leather jackets and sneakers.

As a solo artist, Sadia showcased her talent at Denim Days in Amsterdam in 2022 and debuted her second major denim-related art project, SA·KE, w i t h v i s i o n a r i e s l i k e K e l l y H a r r i n g t o n a n d To n e l l o ® at Kingpins Show in October 2023. With a unique handwriting, she continues to shape the denim narrative, blending artistry and innovation to redefine creative expression.
