THE US GROUP …OUR HISTORY…
1975
The Umer Siddique Group was established by two friends, Mr. Mian Ahsan and Mr. Javaid Arshad Bhatti as a part time apparel trading business intended to finance their higher education abroad.
1985
The US Group’s first purpose built manufacturing facility was setup.
1985
The US Group launched a successful denim brand called ‘Leeds’ which became well known in the Indian subcontinent.
1995
The US Group went global becoming the No.1 exporter of bottom wear in twill and denim, setting up sales and marketing offices in the UK and Germany.
2005
The US Group made a strategic shift to focus specifically on growing their denim product ranges.
2006
The US Group set up a state of the art denim fabric manufacturing factory.
2009
The US Group began to hire international experts in their field of design & development, garment washing, finishing and technical support.
2015
The US Group created an additional state of the art garment manufacturing facility called US V.
2016
The US Group opened their doors at a new regional office located just off Oxford Street, London. The group are continuing to expand US Denim Mills moving towards it’s first Leeds Certification in unit V.
Today US Denim Mills and Apparel & Textiles form the US Group.

The population of our world continues to grow. But how do we clothe this ever growing population sustainably?
The US Group are proudly addressing outdated methods of textile manufacture, leading the industry into the future with a strong focus on sustainability.
As it stands, the textile industry uses more water than almost all other industries.
Pesticides from traditional cotton farming pollute our environment and carbon dioxide emissions are dangerously high. But the US Group proudly addresses this by choosing new sustainable fibres and farming methods, helping to reduce and even reverse harmful impacts for employees, customers, farmers and the wider population.
Our innovative waterless process reduces water use by 65%…saving up to six litres of water per garment.
Plastics otherwise destined for landfill are crushed, spun, crimped and woven into our soft, Repreve recycled fabrics and we make use of post consumer waste by recycling old denim garments into new sustainable fibres.
With these, and a wide range of other ethical methods and fabric choices, the US group continues to look to the future and the protection of our planet for future generations.
We’re taking bold steps towards greater sustainability and to bringing the world quality innovative denim, whilst leaving a lighter footprint.
