Corporates can progress on their decarbonisation targets in a structured “realistic” manner – taking lessons learnt and improving on likelihood of success. “Solar and wind have become in many cases the cheapest form of bulk power,” says Goncalves. “As such it has become cheaper to start decarbonising than to not.”
