With the development of Biomethane projects (estimated to be the equivalent of around 300 million litres in 2015) and the use of Green Gas Certificates, we now have access to a vehicle fuel that offers up to 80% reduction in CO2 emissions on a ‘well to wheel’ basis. Bio-CNG offers a real opportunity for businesses to make significant savings in their fleet operating costs, whilst also having a positive impact on the environment. The cost of Crewe Bio-CNG is estimated to be 30-40% less than the cost of diesel on a pence/mile basis. In addition, it is likely to stay much cheaper for a long time, given the world-wide abundance of natural gas. In addition to lower carbon and lower cost, BioCNG vehicles also give lower emissions of NOX and particulates and produce significantly less noise than diesel vehicles. Crewe Bio-CNG Filling Station is the largest such facility in the UK, offering a highly reliable fuel supply, with capacity to fill 500 HGV’s per day via 3 fast-fill hoses. If you want to learn about the UK biomethane market and how you can benefit from Bio-CNG, this free event is your opportunity. We will also have the UK’s largest ever collection of Bio-CNG trucks and vans for you to see, plus a live demonstration of the filling station.
