When image quality matters See small details - make fast decisions Image quality is clearly one of the most important features of any infrared camera. A better image quality offers you the possibility to see more details, make better and faster decisions and to use analysis tools with greater accuracy. Excellent image quality is obtained by using the best detector/lens combination. Not only uses the ThermaCAM P640 the most advance high resolution, uncooled infrared detector (640 x 480 pixels), it also is equipped with very powerfull lenses. FLIR Systems has put great effort in developing and producing high performance lenses for the ThermaCAM P640. The high precision germanium lenses with integral USM focusing mechanism are designed to take full advantage of the high resolution FPA sensor. The result: the best image quality. With the ThermaCAM P640, FLIR Systems offers you the best. An infrared image of 640 x 480 pixels has a 4 times higher resolution than a 320 x 240 pixels image. Measuring small targets You can make even more accurate measurements as more pixels will cover the target. With a 640 x 480 pixels infrared camera you can be twice the distance away from your target than with a 320 x 240 pixels camera and still measure with full accuracy.
