it was in pretty bad shape. Instead of just painting it first, she gave it a good sanding from top to bottom. Once ready for paint, she went with a classic cream color but kept the top its natural wood, just staining it to give it a refreshed look. Some old hardware from her stash gave the top drawer some refinement and the rest she left with the original handles.
