Historic rise of private jet movements in Mallorca Private air transport to Mallorca has grown continuously over the past few years. However, at the beginning of the pandemic, this trend increased rapidly as high net worth individuals (HNWI) opted for the additional safety of private transfers.

More and more people are travelling to Mallorca by private jet, a factor that further indicates that the island has established itself as a destination of the highest standard. Compared to the pre-pandemic year, the number of private movements rose by 55 percent in 2021, as confirmed by figures provided by the Spanish Airports Authority (AENA). Most of the private jets landing in Palma come from Germany, England, Spain, Switzerland, and the USA. The top routes are from: Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne, Hamburg, Zurich, Vienna, London, Moscow, Paris, Nice, Cannes, Ibiza, Madrid, and the coastal city of Olbia in northeast Sardinia.
