Electrolux Professional is...

HACCP International

Certified!

The First and Only HACCP International certified Laundry manufacturer, Globally

So, what does HACCP do? HACCP International is a leading food science organisation specialising in the assessment and certification of equipment, materials and services used by the food industry. They provide proof to the food industry that certified equipment is suitable for use in a facility that manages food safety. Electrolux Professional has the unique privilege of being the ONLY laundry manufacturer to pass all evaluations and criteria to receive this accolade and are certified in the UK & Ireland.

How does this benefit my organisation? In the food processing industry, highest hygiene and bacteria control is the #1 priority. With our certified range of laundry products you can be assured you will be providing a turnkey solution across both food service and laundry that meets the highest hygiene standards that HACCP outlines, whilst guaranteeing hygiene and bacteria control. This certification is unique to Electrolux Professional and will make a huge difference if you are looking to bring your workwear laundry in-house.

What are the benefits in non-food related industries? All businesses that serve food, such as hotels, restaurants, caterers, care homes and even hospitals, must conduct a HACCP risk assessment to do 3 key things: 1. Consider all food safety hazards and where they come from, for each food handling activity. 2. Consider the controls needed to eliminate or reduce hazards to a safe level. 3. Identify the process steps which are critical to control. With HACCP International certified laundry products at the core of your organisation you can achieve the highest hygiene and bacteria control. Our products will reduce risk in the workplace, are compliant within hazard analysis and critical control points and will provide a worry-free audit.

Our design originated from a local Mere which is home for wildlife, natural paradise. Functionality is one of GIA strengths and this, overlaid with pure imagination produced a facility strong on family appeal, with custom designed lighting and seating ingeniously linked back to the inspiration of the Mere. The space is a main artery into other facilities and therefore this had to be creatively integrated into the scheme without destroying the comfort and ambience of this imaginative creation. You can visit many times and you will always see something new.

THE CHEDI ANDERMATT:

HOTEL AND DESIGN The Chedi Andermatt, open since December 2013, is the luxury hotel group General Hotel Management Ltd. (GHM) first Alpine resort in Europe. Setting a new standard in design and hospitality in Switzerland. Jean-Michel Gathy, chief designer at Denniston International Architects and Planners Ltd. from Kuala Lumpur is responsible for the signature style of the hotel, while SPIN Design Studio in Tokyo designed the restaurants. The inspiration for the architecture was the chalets and grand hotels of the past, which shape the image of Switzerland. This was important to the designer, as Jean-Michel Gathy wanted to create a connection between the hotel and its location. The Chedi Andermatt’s architecture is in perfect harmony with the village’s architecture. The building, design, materials and colours are very much inspired by the architecture and materials of the surrounding region. Gathy gave his own personal touch by creating the symmetrical lines and the balanced design he is well known for, where he mixes tradition and modernity. The front of the five star hotel mirrors a traditional wooden chalet, complete with subtle injections of modern features. The Chedi Andermatt’s guests can choose from 104 spacious rooms and suites, 31 deluxe rooms and 13 grand deluxe rooms (each of which is 52-55 square metres in area), 61 100 square metre deluxe suites, and the Gemsstock suite with 134 square metres of grand living space. The design of these state of the art rooms is all about Alpine chic meets Asian zen: dark Alpine wood, soft leather chairs and sofas, panoramic windows and open fireplaces bring the Andermatt mountain landscapes into the comfort of the hotel. Some room features include murals created by the European Master, Peter Paul Rubens; 17th century wood panelling; and bronze lamps. Another highlight are the fireplaces, which are shared between the rooms’ interiors and the outdoor terrace. The bathrooms feature large bathtubs, heated stone floors and separate rain showers. The doors of the vast bathrooms can be closed to varying degrees so that guests have the freedom to make the room look larger, or enjoy the privacy of the bathroom itself. A fresh element within the resort is the 35-metre indoor pool. The pool area is equipped with wooden floorboards, carpets and sofas, while eight fireplaces crackle in the Relaxation Lounge where the warm atmosphere is enhanced by the use of Alpine woods.

The Chedi Andermatt oers a range of culinary delights with seven dining outlets, ranging from fine dining at The Restaurant to Sushi and Tempura at The Japanese Restaurant by Hide Yamamoto, all of which were expertly designed by SPIN Design Studio and subtly reflects the hotel design and architecture. The Chedi Andermatt also houses a five-metre high cheese cellar and walk in cigar humidor.
